just a note, if you have the micronas cable with the grounding pin from super vag, you don't have to delete and then rewrite the data... You just take the daughter board off of the case, put it back on the main board, hold ground pin to certain spot, then turn on power, after 10 seconds the dash is in boot mode which allows you to read the immo data... I need to get off my tush and make that video....

(I understand on bench is safest way, but don't have the cables to do on bench at the moment and have 2 cars to do this week).

Before you pull the cluster, make a key and turn on the ignition, go to the modules list and select BRAKES, open the channel and at the bottom you will see a button that says CODING... Write it down or take a picture... If you read and change data in the cluster and put back in car before finishing making the key on the bench, you will probably loose that coding when you turn on the key... Good luck...

I have an abretis device and I want to connect the vw cluster 2008 Micronas and I have a C1 cable, but before starting I entered the cable website and found a picture showing that the cable entrances must be cut. Number between Can3 / Can11 is this correct

you know, I have seen that on the Carprog website, but I am still using mine without being cut... It works just fine... have you tried reading data from the cluster yet?? and also, I should take down this video and replace with the new one where instead of reading the chip and erasing then writing the data back, you just pull the daughter board out of the back of the case, then put it back on the mainboard, hookup your cable, then using a I kohm resister you short the boot pin, turn on power, then remove boot pin, and then you can get into service mode... Supervag has an awesome video about this... One of the partners is just an absolute genuis... kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXqpd2ubgsxlb8k look at 2.41 for the boot pin location... but if you watch from the begining it shows you how to disassemble the cluster..

Nice video! Do you get 00003 fault code after making that procedure? I made keys for more all key lost vehicles with CarProg original, the cars starts and runs good, but in the dashboard I get every time the "00003 - Control unit internal error" fault code.

No, I don't get any errors... That is why I do it like this on the bench.... I got that error with carprog, but I figured I had done something wrong...

what you ask doesn't make sense.... If you watch the video, you will see where I read the file, deleted some lines of code(which were the immo data) then hooked up to cluster and before trying to read the immo data, I wrote the immo data back to the cluster... It didn't make sense to me at the time, but what you are doing is writing the immo data back to the cluster while you are hooked up to it, when you do this, you can read it because it's not locked because you just wrote it... If you have a working key, just put the key in the ignition and read the immo data... if you have a working key, you don't have to do any of this... That is why the title is ALL KEYS LOST....

if you have the micronas dash with the daughter board that has the 24c32, then yes, it should work.... My question is, what is the build date of the car? is it a pre 2005.5? or built after that??? These clusters are on the new body style cars... Good luck...

I do believe its 06.2006 the board looks just like the one. In your video .I my self can't find info on any key programmer that list the gti I feel it would be a golf platform mk5 .my 24cxxx programmer will be on In soon (carprog clone can't read 24cxx chips) .thanks

how did you connect abrites to eeprom what clip / interface?

Well, if you purchased Abprog, it will have the boards in the kit, the clip and cable came from an old NEC cluster kit... Just a heads up, we don't do this anymore... We do the same as we do with the NEC cluster.. Use a ground pin, then enter service mode, then program a key... Search for Supervag micronas dash... they show the boot pin..

I am sorry, I don't know what minidot and maxidot are... I have had to input manualy the immo data and CS and PIN and Mac on a few clusters when customers buy a cluster that is a little different... The ECU has the Component Security, Mac and Pin code, that is what it needs to be able to start, the rest of the data is mainly coding, such as manual or automatic, front wheel drive or all wheel drive, which ABS system it has.. and so on... I have put a few clusters in cars that shouldn't have worked, but as long as the immo data was right, the car started... There were a lot of errors on the cluster, but it started... we went back and coded the cluster correctly, and it cleared all but a few errors... If you go to ross-tech.com and look at there diagnostic pages, it shows you how to code most modules... I love there guides... Good luck...

@@timtracy9442 the maxidot is the one with the bigger screen in the middle the minidot has a smaller screen the clusters go on the same type of car but if I remember correctly when you ff the addresses in the eeprom of the cluster you basically corrupted the data on the cluster and gived you a back for to the cluster .... I'm wondering if you copy the areea and paste in a different cluster for the example from the minidot ,(the one with the smaller screen)and paste it to the one with the bigger screen maxidot what will happen I'm basically trying to swap my cluster in the car with a better one the immo data and the keys I need to transfer them to the new cluster ....

@@liviugabrielancutescu3644 I think if you try and rewrite the data, you will have a CRC error.... If you look at the video, you can see where you can manually rewrite the data in the program, then let the program write that data back to the cluster.. If you try and ff out data and try and write other data into the configuration without doing a CRC check, it will corrupt the data and could brick the module... I have been sent a few like that and have had to find the same cluster and read the config data and then write it to the bricked cluster and then rewrite immo data from original to get it to work... If you make a backup of your files before you start changing things, you should be able to get it back to normal... Just remember, if you put a cluster in a car that has a seperate gateway, 206.5 and up, you stand a chance of blowing out the ABS module coding, so read the coding from the ABS module before you do anything...

@@timtracy9442 I want to make a experiment first I would like to have the eeprom from 2 cars with different cluster but the same model and in one swap the immo blocks that you ff out and create a different file after that I want to verify if the configuration file is correct but I need your help with this one I don't have any files that I can edit so you can probably send me the eeprom configuration and modify one and send it back to you and after that load it to the fvdi and see if it was able to load the eeprom file ..... If it will be able to load it and contain the information about the keys immo and such I think it will be able to run Also I have a friend that read the data of the eeprom copy the immo blocks from the cluster and put it in another one but the same part number code and that worked he did that with only a eeprom reader

@@liviugabrielancutescu3644 Ok, so the data that I FF out is the immo data, but once I hookup to the cluster and get into service mode, I write back the original data that I FF out, if you don't, there is no immo data to read, then I go in and change data with the program... As to wether you could take the lines of code from the original cluster and paste it into another cluster, I can tell you that I tried that on one thinking it would be faster, but after I wrote the data and then rebooted the cluster, it went dark... I was told by someone a lot smarter than me that the different data caused CRC errors... I wrote the original data back and it came back to life, then I went in and manually wrote the vin, CS, pincode, and key data, and then the program changed it and the cluster worked.... I think you should give it a try though....

That harness came from carprog... codecard.eu they are about $35.00 and $20.00 shipping... It works awesome... SuperVag has a cable that is about $150.00 that has the grounding pin, you no longer need to read the chip then write back to it... look on there website and find the micronas pictures, all you do is hookup cable, hold pin on ground spot, then turn on power, then count to ten, then pull ground pin, then click read immo data... make key, collect money....
