Excellent video! I was about to just replace my MK1 cabriolet mc (already have 9" booster) with the factory part, but now ordered your 22mm bore replacement! Love it since I plan to upgrade front brakes soon after 1.8T transplant.

This is so timely, I was just trying to figure out what to do with my Westy GTI as I have a freshly rebuilt bendix booster, brand new master, but no reservoir, or at least the old reservoir I have has its outlets closer together than the new master cylinder.

Where you get you reservior ?

@@benromo157 Using my original Westy GTI reservoir, I just had the Rebuilt Master upside down that why I thought it didn't fit, outlets looked like the reservoir inlets 🤫🤫😗. All good now.

For the Westy Bendix style there are also 4 & 6 outlet. My master is on the way out in my 80 Caddy & am stuck trying to figure out how to confirm the difference when I have 4 brake lines & 2 pressure switches & online listings all seem to show 6 ports. Got a Mk2 Jetta I took the TD out of but would have to change brake line connections too if went to it.

Anyone tried the 22mm MC with regular 239mm/9.4" brakes? Wondering how extreme the change is to pedal force / travel with a 8" booster

Can we get specific bolt spacing on the website? Since that is the big telling difference, that'd help to be exact. Knowing the Bendix measurements to verify we have them would help.

so, If I were starting from Scratch what booster would you recommend me getting? whats the best one?

There is no best, but the easier to source would be your best shot. We are coming out with the Westmoreland bendix style 22mm master cylinder within the end of the year.
