Turbo diesel cars are great, I have a 2005 citroen c5 2.0 16v Diesel. It’s got 190000 miles, and still gives 55mpg!

very nice job, I got a 05 VW Passat GLS wagon TDI. it has the BHW TDI, it is called the Pumpe-Duse engine.

Sometimes you do need a turbo especially on a BEW. They do fail but not usually with this code. Also, the wiring on these commonly fails as well. That's where testing comes into play.

I have a little over 345K miles on my 04 BEW tdi and the turbo, injectors, and auto trans are original. I have replaced the alternator and the A/C clutch magnet. The failure on mine was the N75 valve not having the right pressure. Cheap $45 fix.

I've got 160,000 on my 04 BEW and lost a turbo seal. They're not all the same, and like the other guy said, sometimes it is the turbo.

I am finding this part is not readily avaliable. Where did you buy it? I need one I think. Another mechanic said take the air hose off and see if it has vacume with the car running with your finger. If it has vacuume you know what side the problem is on. Attach the hose and the unit should move. Where did you get the part. Thanks.

I have a 06 Jetta with a tdi Diesel and the dealer told me it could be the turbo the code it’s coming up is 2564 and 0299 could it be the same part that you replaced

If the car feels like it's still making plenty of power, and you can feel boost come on as you accelerate, I'd say there's a very good chance it's just the actuator.
