VW Passat B8 bonnet cable snapped

VW Passat B8 2016, bonnet cable snapped, and couldn't find a video to help so hope this might help someone.
So you can see the little grey unit up near the headlight from below, prise it away and pull it downward, there should be enough space for you to get a hook behind the socket mechanism to release the bonnet, no need to break/smash anything but still an awkward job took around 40 minutes.
