The 'service mode" it's a totally different thing. This is may be called a removal if you want. The service mode is when you use two long bolts called lock carrier support tool 3411, which goes where you tool the T45 bolts out. No need to drain the coolant or transmission fluid unless you want to. This is how you change the timing belt for example, without removing the entire front of the car. It's tight, but doable. Anyhow, good luck with your projects. We all learn something everyday!

5:32 Just for information. This type of connectors come off very easy. Just pinch the metal on the sides and pull. You don't need to remove the clip. If you do remove the clip just place it back on the connector and click the connector back on. Easy peasy!
