Brilliant, you helped out today when I changed mine. Best instructional video, you're a natural born teacher, well done. RE the vacuum I have a mityvac where would I plug it in?
@AussieJarred3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate not a worry! Thanks for the kind words! Glad it helped! If you’re referring to the coolant vacuum, you buy the tool from ebay, it’s a specific tool that’s hooked up to an air compressor. I didn’t buy one in the end and it was okay, but lots of squeezing of the coolant lines and not sure if there was a bubble. But it was fine and has been ever since.

Good job! Thank you 👏🏻. Only a question, is the pump synchronised with the camshaft? I don’t under everything you say about the cylinder no.1. Thank you!

Hi Thankyou! No it doesn’t matter, the procedure says it does but it doesn’t.

Hi mate I reckon it would be easy enough to do yourself, you would just have to take the bumper off, I think there would be a fair few videos on this! Good luck

Hello I have a 2013 1.4 tsi. No overheating or leaks but car runs just a little cold - a tad under 90c This is indicative of a bad thermostat right? How do I change the thermostat only? Cannot find any useful vids for my car.

Awesome video, the last part though haha "I believe in ya". One question man, after applying torque to the water pump, how tight should the belt be? Should it still move a bit or it should be super tight with no slack and movements on the gear? Thank you
@AussieJarred2 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks mate. I think I spoke about it, it’s hard if you don’t have experience but have you ever tightened a motorcycle chain? Kinda like that. Not heaps tight but definitely no slack if you feel?
@thabomkhwebane19342 жыл бұрын
@@AussieJarred thank you Jarred. Do not have much experience with motorcycles but saw a vid on how the tension on the chain is adjusted and measured, I do have a rough idea now. Appreciate the work you did mate.

Hi mate, thanks for video, just after replacing pump, when i turned on my ignition it said SERVO BRAKE FAILURE. is it because of removing that hose or i did something bad ? I never had that error before
@peterdixon20352 жыл бұрын
Check the plug on the vacuum hose running parallel with the top inter ooler pipe or maybe the vacuum hose broke? It is for the brake booster

Hi mate, I've got the same ea211 engine in my leon. It's due a timing belt change, is it worth me changing the water pump at the same time as its driven by its own belt? Thank you
@AussieJarred2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, totally up to you ! I would definitely if they are the same age……
@Kal-pw9vl2 жыл бұрын
@@AussieJarred If I choose not to change the pump as it has its own mini belt, and is on the opposite side of the engine from the cambelt. Would a failed pump throw the timing belt off?? A VW tech told me there's no need to chnage the water pump with the belt on these engines

My car only has 70 000km on it. And the pump is leaking. Last month it was the fuel sensor in the tank! What happened to German "quality"!?
