Grazie mille for this video,I need to replace the pump on my VW Polo TSI 2014, will the radio be fine after the removal of the battery or do I need a radio cade to reset it? Many thanks

Great stuff... Same problem here on my Seat Leon. I'd like to replace whole water pump. I see some guys making tension on the belt with Torque wrench. Is it necessary ?

Not that I know of, I have replaced not loads but many and never had an issue with belt tensioning! Good luck on repaires and thank you.

Yes it is necessary Over time the belt will wear out if it is not kept tight.

30 Nm tension water pump and 12 Nm five bolts on the water pump.

What is the belt specs?

Hi, dont have any specs for the belt but if you ring you local parts supplier they should give you the right one for your car by the cars registration number.

You forgot or you just don't know about it. You need to tension the pump belt on the front of the pump there is a place for a 10 mm Allen key I think. You tension the pump with a force of 30 Nm clockwise and only then tighten the pump 5 screws.

Hi, honestly I did knew this, I never had issue with them, but from now on will defo gonna tighten the belt, thank you for point thing it out.

Nice video about (dis)assembly but not good idea to keep the old belt and what's worse not to tension the belt! There is a certain torque for tensioning the belt and you miss it.
