I owned a 1980 VW Derby and from what I can make out, this car is basically a reskinned version of the MK 1 Polo.

Thank you for the comment. It was a fantastic car, loved every minute I had with it. It sold about a month ago now to a great guy based near Heathrow I think. Remember him saying he’s had a few Polos in the past, and he showed me a great picture of a beautiful E21 he had restored. Got the impression it went to a great home.

I believe it is yes. I think it was an option from factory so I've seen some with no radio at all and some with a more simple unit.
