Mine was a combination of low fluid and a dirty connector and I cleaned it and I put some water in it cuz I don't have any antifreeze right now but I'll get some tomorrow. So far so good thank you for the video you rock bro

Thanks for the video! I have a similar problem. When I drive the temperature light flashes. Also, when it's hot outside (when the sun has been sitting on the car for too long) the car won't start. I checked the coolant level and it was below minimum so I refilled it. Could this mean I have a mechanical problem? As the coolant level was low?

Hi! Hi have the same Car, polo 9n. A month ago I removed the battery from the machine to be able to recharge it since with the lockdown and the little use, it was discharged. Today I resinserted the battery. Then I turned on the car and started. After a few seconds it emitted 3 beeps and the red temperature light started to flash. The liquid cool is ok and is slightly above the minimum level. I topped it up but the situation hasn't changed. I went around and the temperature hand is fixed at 90 degrees and I don't smell strange smells. I opened the hood and there are no signs of various vapors. It seems strange to me that the problem arose after removing and reinserting the battery. In February it was fine. Tomorrow I try with the WD-40. Can you tell me where the resistance is so I check this too? Thanks so much!

Check for corrosion between the connector pins like in the video. Resistance also depends on what coolant mix you have. WD40 is a good start.

@@waynezhang3969 I did, I soldered all connections in the dashboard. Easy to do it yourself that fixed it. After some time due to vibrations the soldering can break and break the connection

It could be the coolant mix or a bad contact in the dashboard. If the level is ok, try to change the coolant and mix the original pink coolant fluid for this engine with TAP water not distilled water - instructions on bottle for ratios.

Okay so i was driving and all of the sudden had the same light flashing. Pured water in the tank and found out it was leaking frome hose some where between engine and cabine and i still drow 40 km. Now idk will it cause more problems. Same car

Get the leak fixed. If the leak is in the radiator and not big you can try to use leak stop products - video coming up sometime this month hopefully. If its in the coolant pump or hoses the parts need to be replaced. Coolant is bad for animals around, look it up.

You should take it to a mechanic and check oil level first maybe. If you have any oil light it could be oil pressure but needs to be checked.

When mixing coolant, use tap water not distilled water. The sensor measures the coolant resistance and distilled water would not work.

Same car (BBY) - same problem, changed the expansion tank / temp cooling system sensor. Problem remains. Thinking cluster issue.

Check the connector to the expansion tank. Also use a mix of coolant and tap water. Distilled water can give a confusing reading. Had some strange behaviour with distilled water. The probes measure the lebel with how electricity is being conducted in the coolant fluid. Try a obd2 reading maybe more info there.

Someone was saying it may be a bad contact on the dashboard but I don't know about that. I had it come up again after using distilled water instead of tap water to mix with antifreeze. It measures fluid conductivity. I guess this is why they say use tap water. Could have been a temporary instrument cluster problem. Now I don't have the warning light.

Shold slowly increase but it's not a big problem. The fan won't start unless it's needed. At some point it will start. Try to turn on the AC. fans should spin when ac is on.

@@IONHowTobrother now im with new problem😂😂 Actually im with the same polo When i bought that car the guy said he have changed gasekit head timing belt etc oil change n service Well i ddnt check oil level,,well through that time i almost drove about 2000 miles Then last week it started giving bad noices ,i went to mechanic he said oil level is too low ,feel like your car is consuming extra oil So because of low level of oil there come a gap in tappet,so we have to open full engine and it gonna cost abut 400 to 600 pounds Well thats old car i dn want to spent that much money on it again, So what you think if i just top up oil level n start driving it,, What you think wouldn’t be a issue As noices are still in car,oil level is ok Mechanic said you can drive it just top up oil,n bear the noices

Its better to fill up to mark. Check for leaks on radiator and hoses and if oil looks creamy - coolant mixed with oil - bad stuff.

I actually got the same polo as you i think. I for the 2007 facelifted 1,2 gas. But i got a problem i hoped you might know how to fix. The engine light is on cus one of the fuel injektors is dirty. So it runs a bit lean. I have used maybe 4 bottles of fuel injector cleaner but it doesnt work. So i think i might have to replace them. But heres the problem. Im an ape when it comes to wrenching. Could you pleas make a video or Try to explain ut to me? Iv seem sine other videos on it so i got a genneral idea om what im looking for. But ist always some minor details iv never heard about.

I've never had problems with the injectors so I have no video for it. Did you do a scan for error codes?

If I were you, I'd find a place that does ultrasonic cleaning. It might work if they don't charge too much. If you do run cleaner thru them it's best to use a kit that is made to connect directly to the fuel rail. DO NOT just put cleaner in the fuel tank. That will bring even more dirt from the fuel tank into the injectors. The fuel is under pressure so fuel pump fuse needs to be removed and it has a pressure release valve but to actually remove individual injectors from the rail... I'm not sure I can help with that.

If it's blinking in less than 1-2m after you start the car it's ok - it's the sensor and level is ok. That light can also blink if the engine is overheating so check the temperature dial and check the oil dipstick make sure it's at normal level and doesn't look foamy or creamy like mayo. Or take it to a mechanic to sort it out for you.

wd40 is a greaser dude ... use brake fluid insted, wd40 only messes up everything and makes everything oily, brake fluid vaporates and also cleans stuff.

Check coolant leven if it really is low. If it's low, top-up with tap water not distilled water. The sensor checks conductivity of coolant so tap water is what they actually recomment to mix with coolant - pink.

Outside fan, doesn't spin when ac is on. Inside fan - no air comes out of ac air vents on any speed including speed 4. If it works on speed 4 but not 1-3 its the resistor not the fan.
