have one of these. i can say it performs literally the same, only i have experienced 190-195/kph downhill; but the feeling is a little bit scary when you know this little monster is only 1130kg. love my car tho, if you dont use it at its max performance and keep the rpm around 1.5-2 below 120kph it only consumes 4-5l/100km!

Hast du zufällig deinen momentanverbrauch bei vollgas 180 (tacho) im kopf? Ich hatte mal einen 1,2 BM der hat sich 7,5 genommen bei vollgas. Jetzt hab ich einen Style 1,2 tdi der nimmt 10,9 bei vollgas. Mein BM lief auch 185 gps und der Style nur noch 170 gps. Muss mal gucken ob die Ansaugbrücke zu ist. Gruß

@@krtolebiohazardcs1.681 to be honest if u can get the ibiza with a 1.6 or 1.4 tdi get that rather than the 1.2 It has good fuel consumption when youre a rather slow driver, but it consumes more than a bigger engine when u try to push it fast Engine sound is okay, really comfy for driving about 100-130 km/h but anything over that gets noisy

@@GlossaME Torque isn't what overcomes drag though and after it hits a gearbox its irrelevant. At 170-180 all of the output of the engine is going to overcoming rolling resistance and aerodynamic drag. Regardless of torque all engines tap out once all their HP is being absorbed by the drag.

i own one of these, and the gearbox is so long that you basically have to do a launch control from 1800-1900rpm to not bog down in 1st

Just look at yearly expences on your first car. This car goes around 29/7km per liter. And the yearly expences in Denmark are like only 1.480kr, which is about 197 Euros. Very cheap car

i have one and it is my first car. what i can say is that lower gears are very strong because of the turbo and i have no problem climbing high hills but it is quite a challenge because I think I can switch gear but not for long. ahahah great car

Hi, normally which rpm you change gears in this car? Especially 1 to 2 is difficult to smooth gear change.

Change at 1500 to 2000 rpm, but the smoothest is if u change based on km/h, 1-2 at 15 km/h, 2-3 at 28 km/h and 3-4 at 40 km/h, but the problem is you will not accelerate as fast as this guy does. Or just hold clutch a bit at bite point when you put in next gear, similar what you do when you start in 1st gear but a bit faster, hope it helps.

Normally...diesel normally changes at 2000/2500 rpm for economy😁. But you should push some rpm's sometimes

Especially with such a small diesel engine sub 2000 rmp might lead to a rather quick fuel system failures i.e. sensitive injection equipment gets gunky which leads to cleaning or changing the components. My engine already ran 140K km and my mechanic said that these engines need their ass to be kicked from time to time (1-2 times a month, but it depends on your driving style and monthly mileage). Start from the 1-st gear rather slowly, then reach 3000 rpm, and then full gas through 2-3 gears. It's gotta burn all the gunk from the slow urban driving. And don't buy cheap oil tho.

Du brauchst den Diesel nicht bis 5K drehen es reicht wenn du bei 3500-3700 schaltest könntest sogar noch früher schalten die 180NM liegen ja eh schon bei 2000 an und nach 3000 kommt nicht mehr viel

Your very wrong. Max power in this engine is about 4200 so how stupid is changing gear at 3500? You should easy change gear about 4500 if you want to be fast. My 1.9 TDI has max power 4600 so i hold him to about 4800-5000 and belive me 200KM do it's job at this rpm :)

@@RichardStefanits Americans are avoiding small cars. With the current regulations the small cars aren't the budget vehicles that they once were, most buyers prefer to buy nicer used cars. The Polo would probably cost too much for what buyers were willing to pay

It's better to rev out the engine then to bog it down. My C Max 1.6 tdci almost fell apart because i was accelerating at to low rpm. N9w, revving it up when it's warm engine sings
