It's crazy to think how much these campers are worth now. I've driven the crew bus version, 'transporter?', in the german shipyard I worked in years ago. It was the later squarer shaped one.....very bouncy to drive but a useful bit of kit. The split screen ones are those that go for high prices, I'm amusing you didn't pay a lot for it years ago?, I would think anyone buying one now for camping would be in the bracket of style over substance....I don't mean to come across as being 'funny' , but I work with a lot of fellows who have modern campers and the facilities in them would knock the old split screen into a cocked hat, but if you've got the spare cash why not?....its like binoculars, pay £100+ for a modern pair, they would be tons better than a ww2 german 6x30 pair.....but I know what I'd rather have, 😊cheers timbers 😅😊

Hey Stan bro ! ..there were a whole load of 'Buses' that were maintained on a shoestring back when by surfing buddies and old fans of the vans of that era ..that worked for free on keeping them rolling ! ..my splittie was KCG ??9E ..I called her Casey !! ..I bought her 800 quid and sold her about 8 years later for 3500 .. I think to buy her back now she would probably be worth close to 30 big ones !! www.justkampers.com/marketplace/listing/list/id/3/ The camping was very 'concentrated' in those old buses !! lol.. The old back was always 'feckered' lol ..and the drum brakes made for excitement on the road !! lol

Well, hello there, Erin! It’s nice to see you guys having a fun day also to see these amazing salt and pepper shakers jack‘s great great grandmother used to live in the smoky mountains in Tennessee and she collected them. It’s a big thing in that area….. we actually did a short video when we were there last year for spring break of the salt and pepper museum. They also had a hot sauce museum. They have lots of things like that there she had many of them not sure whatever happened to them, but they were all very cool.

Cool! I had a fire engine red VW Bug that I drove from Alberta to NS and from NS to BC back in 1985! Always wanted a VW camper. Probably not anymore...not enough creature comfort for this old body of mine! lol Those are a great collector items for sure!!
@JimTimber5 күн бұрын
That's a cool color the red !! Yeah.. those newer campers are fine.. but the old Type 2's need constant maintenance and can be very cold to drive too as the heaters never really could warm the cab properly ! Very best wishes as always Andy and Jimmy 🐾

Very nice things to have on your dining table. As would be that newsreader. I don't forget those big words cos I never learnt them in the first place. Anacronisum, well I will have forgotten that one in at most 20 minutes 😂. Give Jimmy a pat from me and the Unni beast.

Awww Jimmy. This is a fun way to season your meal. I like them. You’ll have to find a new girlfriend since Erin is married. Haha. Your clock sounds like something you’d hear on a boat. I didn’t realize they were so uncomfortable to drive. Have a great weekend guys. 🐶❤️🚐

Hey Mike bro ! That is actually an eight bells ship's clock ! It chimes 8 bells at 12, 8 and 4 ..and works up to 8 bells every half hour ..so half past 8 is one bell and 9 is two bells.. etc.. Guests hate that clock !! lol Yeah the old Splittie was a real odd ride.. The Bay window vans were much more comfortable !! Cheers my friend !!

@@JimTimber It reminded me of a ship. That's funny. That's a lot of bells and chimes. Haha
@JimTimber6 күн бұрын
@@RoccosVideos It was because back when they only had hour glasses full sand on board ships.. that lasted 1/2 hour.. and the bell was rung each half hour as the glass was upended to tell the CPO that the watch was still awake !! lol

Hey Paul bro.. yeah mine was very unreliable ! lol.. I had a couple of bay window buses that were a little better.. but still not up to modern standards.. great sleep though !! lol
