VW T3 - Electric Power Steering (EASYSTEER) Install [syncrovibes technical]

This video is about the installation of the electric power steering kit sold by EASYSTEER on our T3 SYNCRO 16". It is a bolt-on kit that includes everything you need to transform your old truck into a citycar ;) .
The overall process took about two weekends (full time).
No particular tools are required, except good knowledge of you van's electrical system.

Great video. Can you tell me where did you connect the main 12 v with the 40 amp fuse on? What wire do I have to cut to connect the main 12 v cable of the eps.

I wish I had used this system rather than spending probably as much money on re-habbing my 89 West Syncros steering system....

If I were that lucky (e.g. to own a syncro with an original power steering system) I would have done the same rather installing this. I personally prefer originality when it is possible ;)

Someone said there was some vagueness in the steering feel. Can you let me know how you feel about that?

hi Scott, the only strangeness in comparison to the modern cars is that the aid level is fixed and it can be only changed with the knob. We are instead commonly used to variable aiding with the car speed
