VW T3 Syncro Australia Adventures - Fraser Island - April 2018

A bit of footage from our Easter trip to Fraser Island. Couldn't use drone much due to wind, so most of it is from dash cam. Syncro didn't miss a bit :)

Hey Martin. We take good care of her, don't you worry. We've added poptop with double bed for the kids up there, full sized rock'n'roll bed under, fully rebuilt tranny and added diff locks, 2 inch lift kit, 15'' tyres and big brake upgrade, stainless steel exhaust system, front winch, full width light bar etc. and the list goes on and on. She took us from Sunshine Coast to Cape York and back last October. The whole family is in love with Syncro, as you can notice from this video as well. All the best!

Hi , old post I know, but did you add front diff lock, getting rid of factory vc? If so are you happy? Did you need the front diff lock on Fraser?

Hey Brett. No, front diff is open, never missed front diff lock on Fraser nor up at Cape York. VC is replaced though with solid shaft and have decoupler.

Have you watched Karsten and Maxine on youtube? Took a 2wd kombi up to cape York the hard way. Made it. Tough on the vehicle

Yeah, I did. We did the Cape York 3 years ago in a syncro as well. Definitely hard on the vehicle.

Thanks mate. No, just when water from tide is going down, sometimes you get patterns like that in the sand.

Hey mate. They are 15 inch, 205/75R15 (Firestone Destination A/T). I've just upgraded to custom 15 inch rims and put on BFG 215/75R15.

Can only speak for myself and the white LC - and yes, we were down to 14 psi.
