Do you know how to remove the lighter body itself? I want to take mine out to clean it , it works when I wiggle a usb charger about but doesn't stay working so think it needs a good clean

There’s 2 ,15 amp fuses under passenger seat .. one for power to drink holder cig lighter socket like your video and the other fuse for the top dash tray 12 v socket ...

It's only the Caravelles that have the extra top dash 12v socket, mine hasn't got one.

Can you do a video on how to change the actually cigarette lighter itself. Got a new one because the one in doesn’t light up. No idea how to go about it.

I would if mine was broken. Just be careful as I think the 12V Cigarette lighter is permanently live so you will have to disconnect the battery to be safe. Hope you get it sorted ok. I think the whole unit should pop out somehow. Good luck.

Not sure, maybe the socket isn’t working or has twisted, try some other devices in it incase it’s the thing you are plugging in

The fuse was definitely broke as it was melted but still didn’t work from replacing with new . Saw another video of one being cleaned and bish bosh bash . Have same issue but the front seat can be turned to face the rear of the van so I doubt theres a fuse under there, Van is a T5 2006, anybody know if that fuse is located somewhere else. Any help appreciated 👍

With an aftermarket swivel passenger seat, the wires and fuses under that seat are often stuffed in a hole in the carpet under the swivel base. Might have to take the swivel base off the floor to get at them! 😮

Either fuse is too low amps for what is meant to be there, or something electrical is making it blow. If it keeps blowing you need to find out what is causing it

Oh that’s strange. Not sure how that has happened. Must be a fault somewhere or your battery can’t hold a charge and needs replacing
