How to check fuses on VW T5 VW T6 and VW T5 VW T6 Fuse Locations.
In this video I will show you the VW T5 Fuse box locations (this is the same for the VW T6 Fuse box locations and how to check a VW Transporter fuse).
There are two main VW Transporter fuse boxes and the hidden\secret fuses as well.
VW T5 fuses and VW T6 fuses are in the same location. If you have any electrical faults on your VW T5 or VW T6 it is definitely worth checking the VW Transporter fuses first.

I have a 2012 T28 transporter and can`t find the cigarette lighter fuse? i have a double captain style rotating seat on the passenger side so don`t think its located there? Model year 2021 LHD has fuses and relays at left of lower part of dashboard. Is it different from T6.1 before ModelYear2021? Trying to find output impulse of high beams...I think the car is equipped with led low and high beams.

And I know about XBB OBD Dongle and Power Unit, CAN M8 Cannect etc. Is there option to code any control unit output for highbeam output?

I found out from web that there is BCM module (under steering wheel, behind the relays and fuses) which you can code (VCDS, OBD11..) for output to follow high beam state. Offcourse XBB is the easist way.

No, I just think they are all near the fuses but could be others hidden. Will the Horn have a relay? Check the connections on the actual horn first, it’s a very basic item so it’s strange it’s stopped working

Hi i got a 2017 vw transporter t6 9 seater. When i start the engine it makes clicking sound and it shakes. The mechanic says something is wrong with the ecu or injector what do you think? Can you please advise me it will be highly appreciated. Thank you

It could be anything, best get it booked in to a garage. Could be engine mounts or could be a dodgy injector or wrong fuel, but I’m guessing. Best get it booked in asap

I’m afraid I don’t. Oddly my air con stopped working recently even after it was topped up. Turns out it was a faulty Valve which had to be replaced part number S7H0820712B, all working great now. Hope you get yours sorted

@@LurgsHowToGuides hey. I'm happy that your aircon works man! I have an issue with the aircon on my T6 2019 model. It seems like the fan motor is not blowing air through the roof vents to the passengers. Everything else works normally. Do you have an idea?

Blimey it’s only 2 years old. Make sure the fan settings are correct, do you get any air out the roof vents without Air Con on? I’ve got rear vents on my pillars but they only work if fan blower settings is at 3oclock setting. If air con is working on front dash vents it must be a setting or maybe a fault somewhere, bit annoying on such a new Beast.

I’m not sure I’m afraid. I had same issue I updated my Daytime running bulbs to nice LED but it played havoc with my dashboard lights and computer so I just put back original standard filament bulb. I know that doesn’t help you but LEDs don’t seem good even if you use ones with Canbus technology

VW don’t make it easy by refusing to print the whereabouts of any of their fuse locations..They must think that people That spend 75k plus on a California are dimwits. I can’t find anything on the Internet to show where the ABS fuse is located.

Is there an actual fuse position ID chart for the cabin fuse box we have repaired a T6 which was in an accident and found that the digital fuel gauge is not registering , our Launch diagnostics said it was the sender unit , that was renewed with no change , I have read that there should be a +5v supply to a couple of wires from the Clocks which are powered via a 15amp fuse situated under the passenger seat , that was blown so it was replace but still no voltage on the two purple wires into the red connector block under the same seat , now looking at other fuses but have run into the blank wall of VW lack of information??

I've not found one. Strange you found a blown fuse and it didn't fix. Not sure what the issue is but it's probably worth testing every fuse you find. Hope you can get it fixed, id love a T6 but can't afford it.

Anyone knows how to make the main cigar lighter ON only after ingnition then OFF when van is shut down. There might be a way to make it work only when the car is ON. (I have a reverse camera that drains the battery when the car is in parking)

I've got a T6.1, usbc port one isn't working, but usbc two is, VW are being extremely evasive and won't tell me the fuse location, so I can check it before taking it in under warranty (fuses are not covered) the girl on the phone said she didn't think it was protected by a fuse?????.... So.... does anyone know the fuse location for a USB port on a T6.1 Thanks in advance

Sounds like a local issue on the actual port as I would think a fuse would cover both USB ports and they’d both fail if the fuse failed. USB ports are very low output so be suprised if a fuse had gone. Good luck and hopefully someone else out there will see your post and might offer some more help. It shouldnt be on the engine.. More likely on gearbox or around where gear linkage attaches to the gearbox..
