VW TDI Battery Put In Backwards

Thank you for posting. I had the same symptoms so I changed this "main fuse" on my 2018 VW Passat that cost $142 + tax at the dealer (of course). Problem is the car still won't start.....just cranks/starter turns but nothing more. I have a feeling the codes need to be erased via the proper OBD2 scanner. I'm going to disconnect both terminals of the battery for a few hours and see if that works; otherwise, I'm calling a guy I know that has a scanner for VW's. I just hope it ends there and nothing more is damaged.

Same thing happened to me so towed it to a auto repair shop they charged me $1800 for a module and kept it for 2 months just to telle they want to I would have to tow it to a dealer and I I just bought the car in October and had so me problems from the car dealer really screwed me I love the car don't get me wrong with all this could have been avoided in the car dealer that i brought it from wouldn't have tooking advantage of me by sing I need a 2 month but deposit so nobody else can buy the car so i left a deposit and warranty for 3 months before I even drove off to but so I was responsible propane that too much to the bank where they dated and 3 months warranty was up because I'm back dated my paperwork can I get a pound tickets because he wouldn't give me new temporary tag well going on 3 months with out a car still waiting for them to fix it I hope the vol Volkswagen dealer in Texas God bless him please give him the knowledge that he needs to fix it cheaply I'm have cancer and I'm in a wheelchair I loved my car😂
