Great little video, didn’t realize to bleed the rears you had to put the ignition on and hold the brake pedal a bit!

So '80s it even has a Scanimate intro! And I always thought Teves was pronounced "teevs".

I always wondered why the ABS system in my Corrado doesn't work, after watching this video it really explains in detail how the whole ABS system works perhaps my ABS control unit is faulty? My accumulator is probably depleted the ABS has not work since I've had the car.

The power brake booster function should work, even if the ABS does not. The accumulator is somewhat easy to test... if you start the car it should charge up. Turn the ignition off, and see how many assisted presses of the brake pedal you get. If the pedal goes hard right away, your accumulator is dead.

@@compu85 thanks I will definitely give that a try I'll press down my brake pedal a couple times after I start the car and turn it off. Hopefully my accumulator isn't shot from what I understand there's this 3 way distribution valve that the brake lines come out of and I heard the valves inside of them eventually end up seizing up so people say you're better off swapping out the distribution block valve for the Passat 4 channel one you'll have better ABS control after doing so from what I hear.

Another Corrado owner with a faulty Teves ABS system. Some think the capacitors in the ABS unit need to be replaced, but many owners convert to the non-ABS master cylinder. I'd still like to figure it out and keep the (admittedly ancient) system though. Thank you @compu85 for posting this!!

@@corradokid79 Save yourself the headache it's not worth keeping the ABS system in these Corrado's, the wires are known for overheating and burning out the ABS modules, it was just a terrible flaw and design from the factory. I've already removed the whole entire ABS system from my Corrado and switched to non abs from a Passat, B4 no more shaking, and in my opinion the car stops alot better! 💪🥳🎉
