My mk 1 2015 Tiguan , the auto lock keeps trying to lock the door passenger side . I could hear it , which made me find out it wasn’t locking anymore with key fob. Would you say this is the same problem as in your video .

The glass was in the down position in our video, but it doesn't matter either way on the Tiguan.

Hello wonderful video, Unfortunately I need to get to the cable connecting the exterior handle and latch... And replace? My friends outer door handle does not open the door.. inside handle works fine.. So A few steps deeper.. Before I pull the door apart and guess.. Any hints? Other videos to see those extra steps Thank you.

This is a great video. My 2019 Tiguan's driver door won't lock. When locking is activated and all other doors are locked, the driver's can still be opened. I've read it might the lock's actuator at fault. Is the actuator part of the lock assembly you had in your hand at the end? Any ideas if it's fixable or easily replaceable? Thanks.

Yes, the door lock assembly contains the actuator, and would need to be replaced as a complete unit.

I have a problem on my VW Tiguan 2010, cant open driver side door from outside, but can from inside. Is it a lock issue, so it needs to be replaced ? Thnx

Yes, it's very likely that the lock is faulty. It may also be worth checking that the cable from the outer handle to the lock is still attached correctly.

Hopefully I get a reply….so I think I may need an Actuator…my door power locks doesn’t work from the outside. I have to manually open the driver side door. Now after a few months of doin that, my car power doors makes a noise like it’s trying to lock or whatnot while driving 😂😂😂

It's hard to say for definite without seeing the vehicle, but yes it does sound like an issue with the lock itself.
