VW Transporter T5 - Double Din (head unit) Radio installation - HOW TO!

Another day another upgrade for my VW Transporter T5 (pre-facelift) and this time by finally swapping out the factory radio for a Kenwood double din head unit with android auto, apple car play, screen mirroring and DAB.
I will show you HOW TO carry out the fitting of the radio exactly how I did it, including custom mounts for the microphone and USB inputs. Also showing you how to make the radio work with the ignition on the van.
This thing has literally transformed my van and brought it up into the current day!

Just wondered if there is not a canbus version of the adapter, instead of tapping into the harness? Great video!

I believe there is but you do still have to find a switched ignition live to feed the can bus module

What did you do with orange wire on the quad lock adapter?

I never used it if I'm honest. But you would only need to connect it up to the illumination of one of the buttons. It's just to dim the stereo at night
