Vw volkswagen golf gti steering angle sensor replacement g85 code

Steering angle sensor replacement on a mk5 golf gti similar process for many other models including audi seat and skoda.
Recalibration would be necessary in most cases through a diagnostic tool.

Hi. I have a kestion. After u fit the sensor u get 0.00 reading on angle sensor? Mine does i dont know if i need vag to make some activation? Thanks

I don't think it makes a difference but just get a 2nd opinion to be 100% sure. Easy way is call a part supplier with a auto registration and a manual registration and ask them for the part numbers.. Chances are they'll tell you they're the same

Did you have to do any coding or adaption when installing the new one? Was there anything else you replaced?

yes there was an adaptation on a diagnostic software that was needed
