I think that is simply outstanding. Loved seeing the races. I am curious. What kind of RPM's are you getting on the race?? I Iove that the bug still has an interior and looks like it could go one the road.

This motor will turn 7,500 or so. The shift light is set at 7k and the rev limiter is at 8k. Totally drivable on the street- I do often 🤙🏼🤙🏼

is Tommy running a stock 12volt transaxle? I'm going to particiate in the Bootheel nostalga drags in Mo. in my '63 bug on July 29 & 30th 1/8th mile @ Sikeston, Mo. Never drag raced before. Wish me luck.

Not stock at all- about the middle of the road for what can be paid done . I would say that a stock trans can do decently well just take it easy on the launch and keep radials on . Don’t go sticky tire - that will break things . Stock axles are easy to snap if you get traction.

PJ1 and methanol mix. It makes the track so sticky it will try to pull your shoe off if you walk on it. And it is the same crap they sprayed on Texas Motor Speedway for the Cup cars so they could run a second groove, but it totally screwed it up the track for the IndyCars though, they run Firestones , not Goodyears like the Cup boys do.
