In my testing, the Arteon 4motion was faster in the 1/8 mile consistently than the new VW Jetta GLI 2.0T DSG. From a dig, the Jetta doesn't have a chance. Arteon ran the 1/8 mile at 9.14s @ 79.6mph (best time). Worst time was 9.3s@78.6mph. Jetta GLI best was 9.5s@78.2, and worst at 9.8s @78mph.

@David Wayne Vidoes please👍How can I improperly use launch? Brake, gas, launch icon shows up, I release. I don't think any new methods were invented. The GLI isn't running a 9 second 1/8 mile stock, no way. Let's see those races.

@@GUITARTIME2024 That's one of the main reasons I bought it. I loved my Merkur Scorpio, and this Arteon hatch comes close. I still prefer the Merkur design and proportions, but it didn't have the gadgets and power of the 30-year newer Arteon.

Both Awesome Cars! Although if you go with the 19 GLI you will get a much bigger warranty then the Audi

VW World I’ve seen the GLI autobahn and it’s very similar to an Audi A4 but it’s still missing features that Audi has. Doesn’t still feel smooth like an Audi?

2020 GLI Autobahn gets adaptive dampers (you want that), since 35th Anniv version is leaving. However, the 6 yr warranty turns into 4 yr warranty with 2020 cars.
