Please claim warranty. There must be problem in your unit. I am using it since 3 months also, used it heavily in my freelancing purpose as well as gaming purpose. Used it mostly in video editing, so scroll er upor valoi pressure gese, still working fine.

4k polling rate is definitely better and smooth. Whatever your monitor resolution is. If you have a 144HZ monitor you can feel the smoothness of higher polling rate mice.
