Solution to front window autodown fault

Your a legend Diesel followed your instructions fixed the problem . Added a little solder to the first a third pins to make the plug contact tighter and fixed the problem. Holden must be making millions on switches and window regulators . $320.00 a pop.

mate you are an absolute life saver..i needed my windows working to get a roadworthy cert tomorrow and the auto electrician couldnt figure out the problem today and told me to go to holden. Just went out and pulled out the connection half a mil like you said and its working fine haha! legend

Legend!!!Mine's working again after 6 months of having to hold down the button for 4 seconds before the driver's window started moving. Same terminal as yours scraped it clean and voila!Thanks heaps for the R and D!!!

I put some solder on the pin (BCM) which makes it bit thicker. It works great, lets see for how long.

My drivers side window won't work at all, I can hear random clicking under the dash should I be looking at the bcm also or the switch first

@Jimmi Johnson it was the switch in the center, i pulled mine out and played with it and the button under the switch was stuck and it clicked and I put it back and it worked fine ever since

Jimmi Johnson so you replaced the whole switch module? Do you hear the relay click under the dash?

I have had this problem with the windows in my vy ss ute for at least 2 years. must thank you for identifying the problem. Gona have to try this on mine and hope that it works. It's so bloody painful getting the windows down. is there anything I need to know or do before I try this?

Any fixes for the central locking not locking any doors with the remote ?

Hey. Sorry we sold this car a long time ago. I would suggest if all the doors will lock using the key in the door. This tells you, for the most part, that the central locking is working. So a likely issue could be flat battery in the key. These keys, I believe, don't generally have a replaceable battery.... however, it could be done. I would separate the key and use a multimeter to check battery voltage. If it's flat, investigate a new battery. And or run the car with the key plastic removed and re check the key battery voltage...possibly it is supposed to charge via that metal pin out the front of the key... I am unsure so would need to look at the wiring diagram. If the key is flat, you might be stuck buying a new key fob. If the key is fine you'd need to systematically work through the electrics.... possibly BCM plugs again..... Cheers Andrew

Hi there, i have a problem with the window is not going up. Going down is fine. I have taken the bcm out and visual inspection is ok. When i hold the window up switch i can hear the aerial clicking. The problem I'm having is when i unplug the window switch the aerial goes up even when the car is off. Anyone know why would this be happening? I'm trying to find bcm wiring diagram buy still no luck. Any help to diagnose is appreciated. Cheers

My window is doing the same thing Only other problems I have is the fuse box under dash All top relays are burnt and extremely hot to touch

I pulled the module out, scraped the terminal and pulled it out like you said. It works for the first 2 goes then starts its crap again. Is there something I might not be doing right? It's driving me mental.

Hard to say. That fact it works for a bit says your in the right spot. Possibly the plug moves back into it's normal spot after a little driving. You could try messing with the female plug to make it squeeze against its mate better. Some electrical contact cleaner would go a miss. Ours is still going sweet.

I’ve check mine it’s all fine but my power are still not working and I’ve replaced the power window switch 6 times has any one have clue

If it's only the power down that doesn't work (as in you can hold the down button on till the auto function times out -15secs ??? can't remember), then I'm pretty sure it will be that one connector. See my second video...part 2. I can't remember the terminal styles exactly, but maybe you could give that one pin in question a slight twist with some needle nose pliers so it contacts the female plug more firmly). I'd have to investigate ours to be sure.
