I did main Genji actually for a while when I played OW, I agree with you actually. Feels like the game isn't developing toward the playstyle that Vyse was made for, so there's not yet an available niche in competitive play. Just like OW though, in ranked anything goes.

You're in the right place to learn Vyse! I would try some basic setups with the wall in the choke point and flash on the wall on the back of site. The thorns you can put in front of the wall so whoever triggers it can't run to a safe position. On attack you would mostly use the wall for a flank, like a Cypher trip. The flash doesn't do a great job of flashing on attack because of how clunky it is, so think of it like you're using a Skye flash for info. Thorns you can use on a post plant for great stall.

@@AtulDesu Appreciate the compliment, I don’t aim train currently because all of my time is spent learning video editing, but I used LG56’s Voltaic Daily Improvement Method for quite a while. I can vouch that taking that program seriously will drastically improve your raw aim.

Not questioning, just curious: on Sunset B you placed a thorn trap up high, what does that do as opposed to placing it on the ground?

@@Panic_At_The_Tesco Not a bad question, putting it higher just makes it harder to see. The thorns can be detected by enemies at a range of 4m, and that includes height difference. So putting it high like that makes it invisible until they’re almost right under it. It’s also much less likely to be broken by a stray Raze nade or shock dart.

If you've heard of Voltaic, I used some of their playlists and methods to aim train for multiple years. Nowadays, all my time is taken up by my day job and learning video editing so I don't do anything outside of my 20-ish minute warmup. I do believe aim training is super valuable, I just don't have the time for it currently.
