I’ve been on Vynase for about over a year now 50mg. Honestly the best medicine I’ve taken for my ADHD. But In saying that... I know exactly how you feel when it comes to the Side effects of the medicine The withdrawal symptoms are the worst.

I got checked for adhd when I was young but my parents had to fight about the medicine part of it. So I didn’t get it and I knew I needed help a lot when I reached high school. But long story short I turned 18 then saw a doc and got vyvance and it had helped me so much people think of add like it’s a good thing but it’s not and it’s really annoying emotionally and productively and people need to know there is spectrums too. ayyy whats good I have ADD and i am prescribed adderall and i like it alot it helps in school and stuff but today my friend that also takes adderall gave me a 50mg Vyvanse pill and i feel great and i want to fight some one really bad btw this is my first time taking Vyvanse so is that bad that i took a 50mg pill for my first time because my adderall is only a 20 mg so imk what u think

People don't understand that there's a honeymoon period where you feel "normal," productive, and really the best you've ever felt and it's almost confirmation that you have ADHD. That's a universal experience because amphetamines make people feel good. But that's the honeymoon phase. After a few years (6 years is about right), you will start to feel like shit, not just emotionally, but your brain will literally feel like it's turning to mush. This has been so widely known about amphetamines for so long that it's basically common knowledge. Please, don't just go into your doctor's office and start rattling off the diagnostic criteria for ADHD and/or symptoms that are indicative of ADHD. Report all symptoms to your doctor, including those that could oppose the diagnosis. Demand that your psychiatrist perform a thorough assessment and even ask to be referred to a neuropsychologist for an assessment. Amphetamines carry a high risk for dependence, abuse, and adverse health effects. Be careful! ------------------------------------------ P.S. Amphetamines are a DEA schedule II medication. The DEA places medications in a given schedule based on its medical risk vs. benefit. Here are definitions of each schedule and examples of medications included in those schedules (compare schedule I and schedule II to get an idea of what you could potentially be messing around with): Schedule I Schedule I drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. @Blue Dream I reread what I wrote and I wasn't very clear. What I meant to say was a person who is inappropriately prescribed (i.e., due to misdiagnosis of ADHD) and takes an amphetamine will be okay for 5-6 years before experiencing the negative cognitive and mood side-effects that often accompany stimulant usage when it's not indicated. For example, depression and anxiety can be easily misdiagnosed as ADHD because the core symptoms of both conditions overlap. Should a person with one of these alternative diagnosed receive a simulant, their concentration etc. will improve effectively confirming the ADHD diagnosis. But after a few years, unlike someone with ADHD, a person with depression or anxiety may experience worsening of mood and cognition. I just wanted to say this because ADHD is so on trend atm lol. People need to keep in mind the potential of experiencing detrimental effects from taking a medication - particularly a psychoactive one with a high risk of dependence - when there isn't an indication for it. That's why it's important to get an accurate diagnosis. Be as honest, open, and thorough as possible when recalling past and current symptoms. I know how it feels to want an explanation for what's wrong... our brains can search for evidence to confirm what we want to believe and selectively forget information that does not support our presuppositions. But believe me, that's a false certainly, and you do not want to take stimulants unless you really do have ADHD.

Took Vyvanse for 8 years, I acheived a lot academically, but I was completely dependent, and coming off it has really changed my life negatively. After I went through the physical withdrawals (nausea, extreme exhaustion, sweating) I had the mental withdrawals (panic attacks, depression, neurosis, insomnia). It's been a year and I have major depressive disorder and severe OCD. Do not give this drug to children without balancing the pros/cons, especially for long term use. You will feel amazing on it and you will acheive things you never thought possible, but you may be doing this at great cost. It's not worth it imo, and I will never take that drug again.

​@@finity9316 Thanks for asking. I'm still off vyvanse, but considering going back on a low dose because im having problems with adhd and energy. Depression and anxiety is good (on 250mg sertraline, 30mg remeron, 0.25 risperdal) but have gained 100+ lbs from the new meds. OCD is still terrible, but i've given up on treating that.

Been on Vyvanse for about 10 years. Prior to my ADHD diagnosis I had depression, OCD, GAD, and social anxiety. These have all been exacerbated by Vyvanse. And I have questioned if I was misdiagnosed with ADHD. Anxiety and OCD began very early in life and lack of concentration, forgetfulness, etc. can appear in both (and other mental illnesses as well). To get to my point, I feel dependent on Vyvanse and I've accepted that there really is no way for me to get off of it without jeopardizing my mental health.

Ahahah i was afraid of taking this med i really feel that the days are slow and sad . Im not sad but i feel somwthing inside me wants to get out nothing is enough for me i want to do things but i procrastinate alot and my focus is on how much i got to do then i just do something that i didnt want to do like being in bed its not that im depressed or me not wanting to do them i just distract myself . I just get sad because i cant be on time or somedays i just cant hv simple shit done . Sometimes people are explaining me somwthing and im not even listen im just thinking about other things looking at the fly at the wall thinkkng i want to go out on the weeknd. I dont have pacience to be fake or polite to ppl i dont vibe with not even a boss that is causing me problems sometimes i need to be able to focus on being fake or at least control my expressions and my answers kkkk i do a good work for example but i dont get there at the right time my breaks are longer i just do a good work on my own terms . I cant be at one work more than a year and half i feel like my life stoped its hard to explain. I will star this medication this week and you made me have hope about it. Thank you
