This is not my idea, but; 300 years ago, lucky and rich people maybe get to listen to this masterpiece once in their lifetime. Nowadays, we can listen to this whenever we want. What a time to be alive.

Not exactly true as far as The Magic Flute is concerned. It was Mozart's and Schikaneder's explicit will to make it a popular show : " it was immediately evident that Mozart and Schikaneder had achieved a great success, the opera drawing immense crowds and reaching hundreds of performances during the 1790s" (scholar Maynard Solomon, quoted by Wikipédia.) But your observation remains accurate for the majority of classical works before the invention of the phonograph!

Fabulous and entertaining arrangement. With Pekka Kuusisto as art director Norwegian Chamber Orchestra has experienced a lot of not so traditional arrangements. This said as a compliment!
