This music sounds very vibrant & powerful at the start. In fact, Mozart is a genius.

The first movement represents the joy of life told musically by a 17 years old in a sunny early-summer morning!

The second movement is so beautiful...makes you wonder how one person could possess such a gift. Writing this music was as natural to him as breathing is to you and I. Mozart and his music will live forever, there is no doubt.

Note that Mozart was a hard worker. Of course all these delightful melodies came to his mind naturally but all of the development is the next level thing.

There's no doubt Mozart had a unique gift and talent of musical creation and composition second to none in the music world. He is known as the composer of endless melodies. Being one of music's most prolific composers, over 800 pieces of music poured out of him in his short 35 years. Just think if he had lived another 30 years what glorious music we'd be hearing. There has never been and will never be another like him.

@@carsonphillips524 Ikr? Mozart is probably the only composer along with the counterpoint Master Bach that was constantly improving throughout his life when it comes to compositions. All I want would be 10 more symphonies, 10 more piano sonatas, 10 more piano concertos. If you have played all of Mozart's works in your instrument you feel that need. The creativity would get to 5th dimension levels if Mozart lived the years of Bach.

Symphonies 25, 26, 27 all written in 1773 when Mozart was 17. All of his violin concerti written in his 19th year. All completely unique from each other. All perfect. The movie Amadeus got one thing right. Mozart's genius was a divine gift. Not from this world, and perhaps neither was Mozart. God WAS singing through Mozart's mind and pen.

Nah give credit where credit is due. This was all Mozart, not god. But I suppose it’s quite the compliment to be compared to a god.

@@quicksilver753 Perhaps one has to wonder what genius really is. To those who believe all begins and ends with the brain, genius is created there. To those who believe the brain is not the beginning or ending of anything, then superhuman ability is a gift from God, or at least connection to a realm of ability beyond this world. Tesla and Einstein said they got their revelations in dreams. Mozart's genius is obvious but where did the music come from? As perfect as it is, I personally feel it is not all in his brain. I give Mozart full credit for what he wrote but can a drop be separated from the ocean? He was connected to something greater than the man himself.

everything is for THE GLORY OF YAHWEH (THE CREATOR OF ALL things). See THE MAJESTY of THE MOST HIGH in this music (mozart is but a creature of THE MOST HIGH), and in the fact that HE used this imperfect man to make this music

As an atheist, I don't believe in all the god nonsense Ive been subjected to my whole life. All I can say is that people are all different and some of them take their art to a level previously unknown. Beethoven especially, but also Handel, Wagner and a few others.

A delicate symphony like a jewel. 🌠 I don't understand why some compare symphonies with each other (with no. 25, 40...). That's exactly what Charm is. 🎇The uniqueness of each Symphony..🎶💫

Mozart often had to write symphonies on the spur of the moment depending on the circumstance. His Linz Symphony was written in about 4 days.

A mi criterio si me gusto.

How come this is such a short symphony and how come it only has 3 movements and not the usual 4?
@6onthetop

I don't think symphonies in general have 4 movements, so I wouldn't call this odd. His late symphonies already have 4 tho. 20 minutes is also not short in my opinion.

He developed the symphony from the divertive to the focus. Originally short overture-like structures, Mozart turned symphonies into the main show. Beethoven perfected the form, but Mozart created it. His playful, but emotionally expansive nature, was true Romanticism.
