Definitely the best interpretation of this truly wonderful sonata. Such clear and crystalline playing, with beautiful voicing throughout, bringing out all the special things in the music. Lovely contrasts between the compelling spiritedness of the first movement and the sheer beauty of the Andante. The third movement is my favourite, and Haebler and Hoffmann really bring out the fun and Mozartian humour in the music, never rushing, but always producing such a colourful gone. To top it all off, you can always hear the dialogue and interaction between the two pianos. Really exceptionally played.

This is outstanding piece of music, one of the biggest discoveries I ever had. Two pianos playing the same notes in the 3rd movement is amazing - you could think there's no point in overlapping the sheets, but it sounds so powerful, there's additional richness carried in this unison passage. I wish there were more pieces for more pianos in this style, working closely around leading motives.
@theodentherenewed47855 жыл бұрын
Dozens of replays later, I think this piece combines melodic, humorous beauty with strict, unforgiving harmony. It's a heartwarming, but in the same has this imperious virtuosity.

Hudba Wolfanga Amadea Mozarta je univerzální lék na smutnou a bolavou duši. Dokáže povznést k novým nadějím a víře ve vlastní sílu k překonání momentálních překážek a odvaze jít dál navzdory nejrůznějším obtížím. Je to doslova dar z nebes, nikdy před Mozartem ani po něm nic podobného na světě nebylo.

The standout section of this double piano sonata seems to me clearly the allegro molto, with its break of tempo midway into the opening A section, in despite of the charm of the opening theme of the andante.

***** That portion of the opening A section is also apparently the portion that struck Beethoven, as is evinced apparently in the rondo finale of his first violin sonata.

I just went to a symposium at the university of utah epolepsy center. The FDA has approved mozart's k.448, k.545 sonatas is actually a prescription you get from a doctor. Listen to 30 minutes before your child goes to bed and it can replace medicines in some people. Please consult with your neurologists first before changing any meds. Go to Epicadence.com to learn more about this and other tools to help live with epolepsy. This professor "greg bulaj" is a pretty amazing guy. He is the associate professor of medicinal chemistry in the college of pharmacy at the university of utah. If you or someone you know has epolepsy check out epolepsy foundation.com. It is really amazing. Support groups, local events,etc.

Lets say this piece represents the corner stone of western music. Therefore if you listen to this piece first, and then any piece of modern music, the modern music will sound clearer to the listener. I call it the Mozart Effect. Lol.
@theodentherenewed47854 жыл бұрын
If you listen to music more, to a extent you learn to listen, it's like your brain can emphasize the sounds, you can hear music more clearly. But it's a different effect from the so-called Mozart effect. With time, you hear more elements of music, the melodies, harmonies, tones.

Nathan - as I mention’d before you need to get that piano tun’d - it’s ruining your performance immeasurably - see if you can locate a forte-piano to record any Mozartean Klavier pieces and have it tun’d to A=432 hz (Mozart’s A back in the 1780s Vienna)-and please be sure to note the repeated Expositions-you tend to scurry through Mozart as if someone’s chasing you - you’ll have to learn to savour each & every nuance he puts into his piano works being very mindful of playing Mozart’s sometimes overly fussy dynamic markings precisely as they are written in his autograph scores - have you ever tried to read a sonata by Mozart in his own ultra neat handwriting? It brings you much much closer to the composer & his intentions - try if and see for yourself - and keep practicing ! Just find another instrument to record the great Mozart - he deserves the very best $
