I love everything about this recording, the dryness and graininess of the sound, the color and texture of the instruments, the tempi and articulations. I was not familiar with this opus but I am glad I found it

Thank you very much for this fascinating post. It's like looking through a keyhole and seeing something unexpectedly beautiful. When I hear BPO recordings from the late thirties, even when Furtwangler is not conducting, I'm always impressed by the virtuosity of the orchestra. For example the wonderful Haydn 94 under Schmidt-Isserstedt.

A lovely recording , but there are uncertaties that this piece is actually by mozart, scholars have researched this but still have not established any conclusive evidence as to its actual author.
