That M Train was shorter b/c the M uses 8 car trains. Due to the Nassau line (J/Z) the platforms are long enough for 8 car trains and since the M runs with them, the M also uses 8 car trains.

Since I get a transfer, I'll try and get you to some places you haven't been to on the channel yet: E from 23rd st to World Trade Center 2 train from Park Place to Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn College A bit of cheating since transfers suck Start at 23rd St C/E, and walk to 23rd St B/D B or D from 23rd St to 161st St Yankees Stadium 4 to Woodlawn (Beware of service alerts; the 4 is running in 2 sections, so headways will be poor.) Also, M and C trains alike are 8 car trains at all times, whereas the F and most other lines are a full 10 cars. This is why it stopped I'm a seperate spot on the platform.

I would love for you to take a ferry to LIC landing as well. There’s a beautiful look out area over there. So obviously I’d like for you to take some trains. So start at Atlantic Barclays, take the 2 train to Wall Street. Make sure you’re on Wall Street and walk towards south street. Take the Hunters Point South ferry to the last stop and you’re there. That’s it. Best time to visit is sunset/sunrise or nighttime. It’s also best if you spend some time exploring the whole riverside area. And there’s a little pier there too. It’s the only place where you can get a view of the World Trade Center, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, One Vanderbilt, as well as the skinny tower all on one shot. The view is going to be similar to Four Freedoms Park in Roosevelt Island but the park is MUCH better designed. A couple of things to know before you go: Ferry tickets are $2.75 The machines don’t support MetroCard or OMNY and you must pay for them with cash or card. Leaving LIC landing there is an option to take a subway but it’s a walk. The 7 train at Vernon Boulevard and Jackson Avenue is the closest subway there. Happy travels 😇
