Okay, here come's the rough translation. I'm from Poland, so i know the language but please, read the additional notes (in brackets) 1. From the Peaks and Depths (instrumental) 2.Calling from Granite Strongholds Black ridge like a smothered torch of the night Guarding the valley in which the time has frozen Her dreams like a trembling yarn of grey mist Wreathen in old's alp pale plait From above the dimmed peaks by a languid stream By Siklawica (waterfall in Tatry mountains) of flowy threads of silver The melodies of night's ghosts are floating towards the halls At the day, (they are) hidden in distant den of mountains spirits (literally - "mountains" heart, but that make's more sense) Hajnice (not sure of this one) are listening, old forest shining far away is listening too Drowning in the sleepy backwaters of northern spectres Silver-shining under the pale cheek of ducal son Who saw for whom he had been a heir And how frail were his demense Crafted by twilight in black arras of soot Guarded by herd of silver stars bleakeaning in distance How amongst the valleys full of trees, mountains weaved by fog It seems like glow is burning at dawn At the feet of dark night torches Wind disperse fogs and dries out the glens of dreams And (underground)waters are dying in the fire of day When the prince returns To restore his rule 3 Me, wind / I'm the wind I'm the wind, hood of the storms Fugitive of uncles army Eremite on the highways of night Exiled without a homeland Where I looked, there misery Yet/Surely my hymn weaved from grief Where I had been, there tears have flown Where I looked, woe (has been) everywhere And where I haven't been? Where the month greets the dawn I have been cheaming him in sleepy nocturn Rushing by crane's night path Over the cloth of golden fields Where month caress the waters Bloated amongst the ton of forests I was dancing on their sheets Demolishing the quietness of sky's mirrors I loved these lands! The neverending vastness of beauty Aligned in eternal landscape of silence Weaved by stitch of forest towers Sewed by silver thread of rivers Colored by depth of lake's tears Where gently trembling threads of life has plaited for the ages in to the landscape of summer night But I haven't been there for a long time Driven by yearning heart beating and seen off by dogs barking Who would be making wreaths and gifts for one who sends a bad fudge? Thereof I'm a poet of the end And forerunner of sorrow I bring what I had seen and what I had heard to these paltry cottages far Preaching the song Whom nobody listens to And knocking in the windows behind which spirit barely lives 4. Where wind weaves the cloths of night (instrumental) 5. On the Łańsk (village on northern Poland) lake (now, this probably has many mistakes since it's written in specific dialect of Polish language) In the fete of Warnia Once upon the time, when On the lake of Łańsk Catching (?) of deuce/wizards (but probably deuce) island Where the fire is burning Where the moon (?) shines In the shortest night of the year (?) I saw her there Around the midnight Beautifull girl On the wormwood (?) field Her eyes were as blue As the sky And her voice was so dear Calling on the ground/island " In that shortest night This ground has to/will yield well And I will stay with you And we will be together, forever" Happiest/most pury ? (? Total guess, probably this word is incorrect) women of the lake And as pure(?) as pearls are her tears They were enjoting themselfes for a long years Her - Leija(probably just name ?) Him- fisher Wojciech And their little girl Which was named Lalka(?) But they are not no longer Nor Leija nor Lalka Old woman has cursed them , mother of Wojciech And wratched her, she killed(?)them Their spirits are in the heaven(?)- sorry, now idea And only willows on the wind are moving Over the Lalka's and Lelija sad tale 6. Under the Feet of Dreaming king (of Tatry mountains) Giewont, you, the one who is watching/marching (?) over the sleeping halls, Your rocks are as high that you touch the shimmering stars In the silver, over the trees you are banking up And lasting for the eternal wilderness, dark depths Where you are hiding the sleeping army - in which peak (?) In Pisanie ? Amongst the humming sleeping waters? Giewont, you you are sleeping a deep dream Covered by trees, whom leads the time Of guardians of crude spruces with one-hundreth years old beards Of slim firs whom got silenced in hollow silence And are resting anxious, in inertness frozen Thereof the lost hymn is roaring: "OH, Whirlwind! Strong, Distant Who is wandering in montly night! Where the carts of silver mists lead you? Over these peaks, you want to wander? Hollo! Busker of wind! Bring our longing far away to halls carry it over the rocks, Let it touch the golden stars! Make the human hearth trembl from the mountains... Make him lift his cheek towards the toothed bushes(?) Make him hear our song of longing... The water, water... life..." Gale heard that sigh and he called (?) "O, trees! Brothers of Smrek (Mountains), sister of Jedle (village in Poland) I see your longing, I will take pity of you! I will lift the old hymn of Tatry to the peaks Let it flows around the desolate halls Let it flow then towards the silenced villages Let the human hear about secret stories For he will bow his head for ridges... Oh water, water... life..." That's it, hope you now understand a bit more :-)

I ten jej górski, twardy charakter... Jest to prawdziwa, piękna sztuka i muzyczny majstersztyk, który wpisuje się w to co mi w duszy gra. Polecam jej słuchać zwłaszcza wieczorami i w czasie słonecznych, złotych, polskich, jesiennych dni. Hi! I like listening to the music of this band. As for me, this is brilliant work, perfectly fitting into the metal culture of Polish, Slavic and highlander traditions. I would classify it as mountain atmospheric folk ambient black metal. Guitars create ceremonial, harmonious tones. The drums are evenly fast at times and with slower parts expressing the inner peace of the soul. Cymbals, acoustic guitars, recordings of night sounds and nature, flute, horn playing create a wonderful atmosphere. The screaming, emotional vocals, wailing are fantastic. And its mountain, hard character ... It is a true, beautiful art and a musical masterpiece that fits into what is in my soul. I recommend listening to it especially in the evenings and during sunny, golden, Polish and autumn days.

So it’s been 4 years since my first post on this masterpiece and how it helped me through a dark time after my dad died. Although I’m in a better place now through much love and support , including wonderful replies on this site (thank you 🙏) I just sunk deep into this one again and was reminded of its supreme excellence and beauty. I listen to a lot of BM, in its many forms, and there is truly something special about this one that causes it to reign above the others in this specific genre. If anyone out there that speaks the Polish language could translate the “Ja, Wiatr” track into English I would be deeply appreciative. Keep living passionately and authentically

This one's got something special. Not the "me too" Norsecore overproduced stuff. My critique though is halfway through the album I was already feeling like I was listening to the same song over and over. By the end I was way past done. Then it segued into another album by this band and it sounded like the same material again. My biggest criticism of metal is that most bands just write the same song over and over again, in the same tempo, with the same progressions and structures and keys and vocal deliveries/placements. Mix it up!
