W DUBAI on The Palm - Hotel review, Tour of Hotel

Today Savilles' Travels takes you to W Dubai The Palm. This hotel has a perfect position to take in the stunning skyline views and is a short distance into the city for all the Dubai attractions.
It is very much a 5 star hotel with impeccable service, beautiful food and drinks & its modern clean design.

We stayed in a Spectacular Room on a Half Board PLUS basis which gave us dine around options and 2 house drinks induced with our evening meal. The half board gave us 150 Dirhams towards our lunch or evening meal.
SoBe, the rooftop bar is very cool with a chilled vibe. Torno Submit is the Italian and Akira Back is the stunning Japanese which I would highly recommend.We also ate at the Wet Deck at lunchtime which was great. Even the buffet Liv provided a delicious breakfast and has such a wide choice in the evening too. I have to avoid Gluten & Dairy and I ate like a queen here!
We were provided with bottled water during our stay in our room and also around the pool/beach water was brought in ice buckets and no additional cost.
Would I stay again? Yes Yes Yes I loved it, without a doubt but I love visiting different places so for now I'm off to Maldives......
POSITIVES
Location - On The Palm, stunning beach with calm clear warm water
Great Comfortable sunbeds by pool and beach - the cabanas are free of charge you just have to reserve in advance
Half Board food was amazing - we ate in the Italian, Japanese and Buffet (prob the best half board food I've experienced)
Service was 5*
Drinks were excellent quality
Pool Towels Provided
Chilled relaxed vibe throughout hotel
Our room was quiet
40min transfer from Airport
Coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron, mini fridge and toiletries in the room - all free of charge
Waiter service to your sunbed
The hotel smelt like a spa
Lifts to all floors
Close to go out and about to discover Dubai and taxis were cheap
Brilliant air-con in the room, very comfortable beds, dressing table area and great shower
NEGATIVES
June was VERY hot but the air con is amazing so actually it didn't bother me like I thought it would (this is turning into a positive!)
Drinks are on the expensive side - expected in Dubai so we were glad to have the half board plus package
TIP: If you like a drink purchase alcohol at the airport and keep in your mini bar to reduce the cost

I’m sure we will love it & it will be 1 of our regular trips. We love Amàre in Marbella, we watched your review of that, great hotel.

Hi, we got a very good deal when we stayed!! It’s a bit of luck when you are booking and I’m sorry to say all holiday prices have increased considerably. We paid about £800 each for 4 nights with half board plus 2 drinks with evening meal and that included return flights from UK. It’s a stunning hotel, couldn’t fault it

What time do you have to reserve the pods in pool? Is it in the morning or from the night before?

We didn’t hire them but I believe you could do it the night before at a desk in the reception area. Fantastic hotel, I presume you are going… enjoy!
