My grandmother was Chinese (I think she was a guangzhou girl) but I never got to meet her, and there are no recordings of her. She didn't speak English well at all, and my grandfather didn't let the kids learn cantonese, so they never learned anything about their mother, or their culture. Suddenly, finding your videos, I'm aware of what I've lost by never being able to meet her or learn from her.
