相信不少人都曾經因為直接把中文形容詞翻譯成英文而鬧出笑話！例如
例如覺得『很痛』，會不會翻譯成 “I'm painful”? 又或者“價錢好像頗合適』
會不會翻譯成 ”The price is suitable“? 又或者『很容易忘記事情』，會不會翻譯成 “I'm easy to forget things”？今天我會分享10個大家經常錯誤使用的英文形容詞，文法上可能是沒有錯的，但是背後表達的意思可能會造成很多的誤會，甚至會得罪別人！

Very good lesson. I just want to add a couple of comments. Personally, when I was learning English, I had discovered this passive approach which helped me tremendously. so I would try to explain to learners that all the past participle adjectives; such as "I am delighted", I am exhausted" or I am interested etc. can be taken as passive voice if this approach helps you at all. I use this method because all the "ed" verbs used with any form of the "be" verb forms a passive condition. Using one of the same examples above; "I am interested in getting more details about this car..." I am interested- because the car interests you. Likewise, I was completely exhausted after the 5k run. The 5k run had exhausted you- this is an active voice because the 5k run is the subject which made you exhausted. So "I was exhausted..." So using past participle as adjective is very common. However, most teachers will not explain the usage with the passive approach. I should reiterate. This method is posted here for reference only for those who find it helpful. It is not found in traditional grammar book.

好難瞓着亦可說 I find it hard to fall asleep. Hard 和 difficult 意思都是困難，鞎難，二詞一般通用但差別是difficult 可解作刁難，所以不要說I'm difficult. Hard 可解作費力,好難瞓着就是此意。

I do appreciate your video English to correct Chinese or perhaps in particular I would say in such that does common mistakes blended in to the culture. But I will suggest you do one more thing if you would like to help and empower people to speak proper English in Hong Kong that is not a translate in the head from Chinese to English but I think in that language in this case which is English and to speak in English. Should I ask you a very simple question which is are you not a girl then tell the answer? I want to appreciate efforts in using Chinese explained English language you actually will never make any sense. A classic example the car is black colour. The correct one is the car is black. The black is the colour and that word become redundant. Just my opinion

1. The contract will expire on September 5, 2023 or The contract expires on September 5, 2023 2. Water supply will be suspended on September 5, 2023 or This office will suspend water supply for maintenance this coming Sunday between 8AM and noon. Use active voice if the office wants to own up the situation and be more of a man or woman. Otherwise use passive voice to distance oneself from causing any inconvenience even though it probably isn't one's fault per se.

@@yuetyuet5665 If you put it like "will become expired" then perhaps it is easier to see that the expired is used as an adjective. It would become an expired contract or an invalid contract on 9/5/2023. But don't believe in what I say, zero trust always authenticate. Good luck. (I would simply use "The contract expires ..." or "The contract will expire ..." with preference for the simple present, it's simple and more forceful, no monkey around.)
