The problem is there are simply not enough doctors in Taiwan. The education system in Taiwan is terrible.

@@蘇淑貞-p7b Look there are many problems in Taiwanese culture and i think it's admirable to admit that. Doctors and Nurses are frequently overworked there. And this transcends almost all types of work and school.
@@蘇淑貞-p7b That would also be a waste of 7 years of medical school if a doctor decided he didn't want to be one. So it's probably a lot more complicated.

i remember when i was in the uk last time, there was a time that i needed to see a doctor and i made an appointment. It was like few days later.😅😅😅 then i went to diagnose myself on the nhs online, until i got the answer to seek immediate medical attention. and just in a while, someone rang me up advising me to pay a visit to the emergency department at the nearest hospital. That's something amazed me! they did call back even on the online checker. but then the waiting time at the ed was again quite long. 🤣🤣🤣 anyway, as compared to the services offered in my country, which the whole healthcare system is free, but the waiting time is even ridiculously longer than you can ever thought, i think nhs uk is still doing a prettily good job.

這位診所醫生其實很不錯。有時候病人誤以為有綠痰就代表細菌感染,期待能拿到抗生素,但醫生特別強調,他的判斷是病毒感染,如果病情加重或出現發燒再回診。The doctor at this clinic is actually quite good. Sometimes patients mistakenly believe that green phlegm indicates a bacterial infection and expect to be prescribed antibiotics. However, the doctor emphasised that, in her judgement, it’s a viral infection. She advised returning for a follow-up only if symptoms worsen or a fever develops.

In the UK, the NHS is great too but the waiting time is getting ridiculous even for an appointment with your GP may take weeks.
I love the way that you can just walk into the doctors without an appointment. I remember doing that when I lived in the Taichung, (and also a dentist). Here in the England you've got no chance of doing that! The NHS is free(ish) and pretty amazing, but if you've a common cold you've no chance of seeing a doctor. Taiwan for the WIN! Good video.

Agreed 👍 whenever we need to see a doctor..wait, wait, and wait…doesn’t matter it’s urgent or serious😭 No more walk in, if needs doctors immediately…ER ( at least 5 hours wait )otherwise 1 week waiting for regular clinic…
Hope you recover soon. I am looking forward your vlog in UK. It must be a beautiful place.

Taiwan definitely has one of the best health care systems in the world, if not the best! I love being able to go to an ENT doctor (or almost any doctor really) whenever I need to! 1:08 Doing the right thing! I've had to teach so many kids to do that!
NT$250 is more like 6 pounds, so visiting a doctor is even more affordable. Healing vibes from Europe, Alan, get better soon!

Healthcare in Wales is free, including prescriptions. The main problem is getting to see a GP. It can take weeks. They don't like us bothering them with colds. There's a Chinese GP at our surgery, so Chinese speakers are welcome, I guess (assuming they can get an appointment!) 🙂
William, in Taiwan, we take the medicine by the water, not the juice. It is important only water can accompany with the medicine and then improve your sickness. This is recommendation from Taiwanese woman. For your reference only. Wish you get better soon..
A capful of turpentine followed by a tot of black rum and a teaspoon of brown sugar then off to bed and you’ll be right in the morning. No need to waste the good doctor’s time.

For clarification, the meds they give you just suppress the symptoms, and the body will usually fix itself.
