(个人浅见) In fact, the question of culture is very simple. My personal understanding is the development of a thing. 1. No behavior is useless after it is created, such as: "Tai Chi, hand-made noodles, singing folk songs, etc." Their early appearances all had very important practical values, such as "Tai Chi - for fighting, hand-made noodles - more chewy or because there are no machines, singing folk songs - simple communication between mountains or expressing feelings." 2. When external conditions change, they will lose their original value. When they lose their original value function, humans upgrade them to a kind of cultural protection, which is also a grassroots retention of these behaviors, and actually expresses people's kindness and love; for example: "Tai Chi - the function is changed to fitness, singing folk songs - changed to a tourist feature." 3. But pessimistically, these things are likely to disappear in the end because they have lost their important basic use value; the simple truth is: people nowadays have no idea of the function of the things excavated by archaeology, and they don't even know the process of production, or they don't know what they have dug out, but they can indeed prove that this thing once existed and was useful. 4. The optimistic thing is that the human needs served by the old behaviors have not disappeared, but have been replaced by another behavior to serve human needs. And the newly generated behavior may become culture after a period of time, and then be lost, and the cycle repeats. 5. Finally, why antiques are valuable is not simply because they are non-renewable items (compared with oil, they have lost their use value), but because they are another kind of nirvana rebirth after the disappearance and iteration of cultural behaviors. It is the tension of ancient people who have passed away but are still shouting in the darkness of the silent universe. Perhaps this is the proof and recognition of human existence, and a deeper mystery may be in it. (Personal opinion)
