W.I.P. + Chat Ep. 5 - Diamond Painting Plans for 2025 and More!

I typically decide on storage based on the number of colours in a kit. I’m currently working on Song of Arthemis by Margaret Morales for Naomi’s event, and was able to squeeze all 68 colours in one EW tray. You’re going to love the versatility of having different size containers. Because DAC packages their drills based on weight, I usually kit up starting with the smallest bags in the tiny containers and working my way up to the larger containers based on what size is needed. Hope that makes sense. The bottle cases I use for 30 colours or less colours, 60 colours or less colours, and the 120 for kits that won’t fit in one EW tray. I’m not a fan of working out of more than one tray.

Let’s see for container storage I went from tic tac containers to the pill bottle ones ( same you have) I like those they are bigger and if I need one drill I can “spear fish “ it out. I love Elizabeth Ward containers, the full and half size sets!! I put washi on them and wrap the washi around the side like you did. However, for aesthetics, I stop the washi at the finger tabs for all containers. 😆 And yes, the labels peel off perfectly while leaving the washi on the containers. I diamond painted for years before buying EW - now I use them almost exclusively. Fun video as usual! 🎉

😅You are not alone on the flossing thing. I was taught to brush, brush, brush, but flossing was never something that was ever stressed to me as a kid. Last year I actually had issues with gum disease because the lack of flossing, so I went through treatment and now I floss on the daily, twice a day, because re-treatment is NOT something I want to deal with. It was an uncomfortable process and was sooooo expensive! Sooooo, I definitely recommend taking up the habit 😅 If you don't like using normal floss or those floss picks, look into getting a water flosser! I love mine and it's effective. Anyway, sounds like your holidays were super busy, but I'm glad you enjoyed them! ❤ 🎉🎉🥳🥳✨ Thanks as always for another upload!

small tip for you on the light pad in the car.... if you take a roll of masking tape with you, you can mask off the edges of the light pad the stick out from under your canvas so that the light does not bother the driver. you really only need light the size of the section you are working. Hope that helps and makes sense.

I’m taking this year to get as healthy as possible before we start trying for a baby. I also have PCOS and have yo-yo’d with weight and hormones for the last few years. Last year was spent planning our wedding and figuring out immigration so the stress really threw everything for a loop and now it’s time to buckle down and get back to work. I think I’ll steal your word of the year. I love the thought of keeping intentional! So for me, intentional eating, moving, and resting. Also, I believe the grape thing is Spanish.

I've gotta stop halfway through this video before I forget what I want to say 😂 Love your spreadsheet idea. I'm an accountant nerd and just haven't taken the time to do this. January will be a good month to get it started. If you decide to share, I would love to steal some of your ideas. I like to do dps depending on mood or season, and I like to theme things. For example, if I am doing a Disney, then I'm probably going to be watching the movie, listening to the songs, etc. Not always to that extreme. It just depends on the subject matter I am working on. I like the idea of month end review with the stats! I know you aren't looking for storage systems... but here are my two cents. When I first started getting serious, I got large and small Elizabeth Ward for my main use. I do love those and still use them at this point. Then, we found Trabricks. If you buy enough, you can kit any size kit in them, and you don't have to pour drills in and out of containers. For smaller kits, they are great for traveling. They close really nice and snug (similar to EW bead containers), but they also function as a tray. If you are working at home, you could use a tray organizer (we literally bought pantry storage and that has worked so far). Some people use tray towers or ink pad towers. The Cateared website has many styles, and there are also a couple of styles sold on Amazon. The other thing is with DAzc doing such nice trays with their kits, you could kit up small or large ones for a project. Not for traveling, but possibly for home use.

I’m so happy you love the content! Events are basically themes that people will diamond paint together! Sometimes there are prizes and weekly videos depending on who is running the event. Each one is unique and has different rules. I recommend joining the diamond painting events facebook group to see all the ones happening throughout the year! ♥️✨

@ some require new starts and a finish, but some don’t. It just depends! Most events have rules listed and Facebook groups you can join to see exactly what’s required.

I use Excel on the computer, but if you check the description box of my W.I.P. + Chat coming out today (1/23/2025) I have it linked in the description box as a Google Sheet so that you all can download and use it if you want a starting point!

My husband and I take turns driving on long road trips (we’ve driven from Texas to South Dakota multiple times) so the other one gets a chance to sleep while the other drives ❤

Anybody know an easy way to clean out the putty that is in between the square diamonds I have placed. I tried to kinda scrape it out gently and it just ended up smearing all over my drills and made it so much worse.😅

Hey. Sometimes I put scotch tape over my labels. I would have a small melt down if I lost a label 😮

A 3 hr video! I took notes on this one! 😂 -My goal for 2025 is to complete all of the kits that I have remaining from 2024 which is 29. They range in size from the Sun Catchers and Mini Dazzles up to my largest kit which is Mystery Kit #70. I think I will be able to complete 2-3 a month depending on what I have going on. I think the Mystery Kit will take longer. I generally pick them based on whatever my mood is and I try to alternate rounds and squares and older before newer kits (not always the case). I'm currently working on some Make Market kits and I'm in a lighthouse mood so I will do a DAC lighthouse kit I got from my hubby for Xmas (jumping the line!!😃) and then a MM kit. I plan to do the Marjorie Sarnat's Valentine's Day gnomes (Always and Forever) in February which is also my birthday month and then maybe dig into that Mystery Kit. Time will tell on that one. -Regarding flossing, I keep floss with me at all times and always make sure to floss before bed. I go to the dentist every 6 months too and I do my best to keep good dental hygiene practices because I think a nice smile is important. 😁 -My dog is the same way when going to the vet. Kailani is a Siberian Husky and she needs to be sedated or mellowed before getting any shots so I feel your pain! -And, last but not least, 🥳💥🎉🎊⛲🌴🌺!

I use masking tape instead of washi tape , it stays stuck even when I remove the stickers on the containers. And the masking tape peels of easily 🩷

I worked for a vet and a boarding kennel to put myself through PT school. We always let the owners come in with there pets. Just me, but I would never take my pet babies to a Vet that wouldn't let me in with them.

Watching this in parts: I am Jewish and my mom’s family is from Colombia. The 12 grapes is a Hispanic thing. So my family in Colombia does it and is Jewish but it doesn’t come from being Jewish.
