Good video. I think one very important thing to mention in American comics history is the Comics Code (CCA), created decades ago (and died decades ago as well) as a heavy-handed approach to censor things deemed "wrong" by moral guardians. It crippled the industry for many years, stifling story and creativity (and quality), unlike the Japanese market which was relatively free of such restrictions. Also, comic book *movie* fans and comic book fans are two completely separate audiences, something that the execs still haven't quite figured out it seems.

ln fact,I think comic too focus on form to take attention on story expression.
J comics usually done by same artist from start to finish, U comics usually done by different Artist over the run of the same story, which you may like or dislike certain styles, make it incohesive compare to J comics.
