What a blast! Both are powerful in terms of loudness. What I noticed on W-king x20 is the clear vocals, thanks to mid speakers, bass kinda holds back a little bit compared to encore which doesn't have the mid speaker but still able to produce crisp sound and clear low frequency sound.

@@Jagistreviewshi, can you help me out. I'm torn between these two speakers. The thing is I have always been a JBL fan but X20 has a greater potential. But my winning factor here is the charging. I believe Encore is AC while X20 is Type C. I'm always the guy that wants to plug the speaker whenever an outlet is available. So my question is.. can the WKing keep up at charging at max volume just like JBLs smart AC charging? Any advice is very helpful. Thanks a lot!

@@ianroywell8818 The W-King X20, with USB-C charging, may be somewhat limited in that it might not charge as quickly at maximum volume as the JBL Encore with AC power, since AC generally provides more stable and higher power output compared to USB-C. When playing at full volume, the speaker uses more energy, so USB-C charging may struggle to keep up with the power consumption. If you're someone who likes to keep the speaker plugged in while using it, the JBL Encore might be a better choice here because its AC charging is likely more capable of supporting the device even at high output levels. The W-King X20 is a great option, but it might have some difficulty maintaining its charge when running at maximum volume if it's only connected via USB-C.

The encore definitely takes the win in certain areas and the wking takes the win in other areas but I'm very impressed with the wking x10, it holds its own very very well and for the price pound for pound might be the new champion, but if your willing to spend 650$ on a jbl boombox wifi then you will have the better speaker but I don't know if it's better by that much, wking is definitely catching up and quickly

I didn't like the X20 Default EQ. But it has nothing to do with Comparing it to the Encore, the Encore, as expected will produce higher db on the low spectrum. However i found that the 120 and 250hz band on the X20 were a little overpowering, so i toned those two down a little bit and i like it much better overall that way, how did you tune yours Jagist?

I think JBL encore4 is a bit pricey compared to any other speaker but it has some other reasonable audio quality regardless of it's bass and a battery life. The wking x20 has also a better bass, budget friendly and clear audio as well. Thanks for this video. The comparison let me decide to which one these two will I get get next❤😊😊😊

BTW...you mentioned in one of your videos from yesterday that the X20 has really good sound separation...and you wondered if the drivers might be angled to help enhance that sound stage. Thank you I really appreciate the praise, I definitely am trying my hardest to be a good youtuber and speaker reviewer, as far as the sound separation the speakers are not angled out but they are spread apart very widely so I think that's why it's sounding so spread out and broader in its sound output capabilities

And regarding boomboxes, I'm fascinated how they are being engineered to produce amazing sound for their sizes. So I'm always wanting to buy the latest one to try out. My favorite brand is WKing because they offer a lot of quality sound for the price. I had to promise my wife I would not buy anymore unless I first sold some that I already own.

It's super good on bass compared to most speakers, but the encore is pretty unbeatable and even stomps the jbl bb3 in bass loudness, I think the x20 holds its own super well but the encore just does deep bass better as per usual ha ha, I'm not sure for battery, I'll try to test that out soon, but it's got the same size battery as the bb3 I'm pretty sure

Can you share your custom EQ settings? I picked this up along with the encore to see which one would work best for my specific needs (small speaker for soccer camp, practice, and on the bus during away games). I just got it today and the bass sounds horrible compared to your video reviews. I tried a number of songs from Rock, Country, and Rap genres. My favorite for bass handling is "a mili" by Lil Wayne. The encore essential handles it fantastically, but the x20 sounds like a blown speaker. I'm really hoping it a setting on my end and looking for any advice you can share.

Ya I'll post my eq but it should not sound blown at all, it sounds like you got a bad unit with a bad subwoofer in it. I actually prefer the sound of my encore more than the x20 but the x20 has way more battery life and is Waterproof and a lit louder, I would probably turn it in for a new one

@@HAIYANE9910 The issue is that sound quality you hear in the JBL is power hungry. To get low low frequencies out of a small driver efficiency goes way down. So for the JBL to play as loud as a speaker that doesn't get down as low, it has to put a LOT more power into it. To go up just 3 decibels you have to double power EACH TIME! So, 50w at 90db to 93db is 100w. To go to 96 db you now need 200w! 99 db is 400w! So if you have a speaker that's say 5db less efficient but sounds like butter, you're going to need almost 200w to keep up with a speaker 5db more efficient at 50w. Crazy isn't it? That's Sounbok's schtick. They get very efficient mid-bass drivers and ignore low bass. Their speakers are crazy loud and play forever on a 9volt battery. (LOL No, but you get the picture.) However, the sound quality is ass and begging for a sub to join in. I said all that to say IMHO JBL has no excuse. Double batter capacity. Seriously. In the PB110 they use 4 18650 lithium ion cells. Make it 8 and double play time. That adds what, $8 to the total cost? The Encore is playing at an even lower power level. From what I can tell it still uses the Partybox 110 amp board, but it's at double the impedance. I.E. 8ohm instead of 4ohm with two woofers. That's why it's only 100w instead of 160w. Anyway, this got way to long way to fast. LOL

I got my w-king x20 and tribit stormbox blast yesterday and it blew me away, especially the wking x20. You really have to be next to this speaker to understand just how loud it is, and the battery life is amazing I played for 4 hours straight on max volume and the wking was still left with 50% battery

the JBL is cleaner sounding. The slightly heavier bass on the King muffles a bit but pounds deeper. depends what you like. My experience with all of them is, if you use them plugged in, they all are very similar, louder and more powerful.

The only little drawback of the w-king is it's design (not look) the side of the w-king are too small due to which the passive radiators are small which results in not that low on bass, size doesn't always matters but with passive radiators i do think so👍

well, that's sealed vs ported. we all know that the ported bass reflex is hitting hard bass as low freq. as long as their face near at the wall for additional amplified bass.. encore for the win for this because ported sub face on the near wall was amplified the bass. but x20 is sealed type subwoofer, but its great performance as well as max volume no distortion, bass is powerful, large capacity of battery, well friendly handy can go out somewhere, whatsoever. for me i like x20 im for x20.

It's a pretty accurate statement. Ported enclosures will produce deeper bass frequencies that will also travel less unless reflected by a surface. As a package i'd take the X20 over the Encore as it is Waterproof, Sealed, Louder Outdoors, USB-C Rechargeable and i prefer the form factor when it comes to portability. I also think it sounds better when properly equalized.

Really changed my outlook on this speaker in comparison to alot of the JBLs. W-king good mids great upper and mid bass focused and the encore good low end bass very loud tamed upper and mid bass because of those missing mid and upper bass frequencies I hear more clarity and openness to the sound and the highs in my opinion go to Jbl there more refined and sharp a little more gives it this sparkle very nice my pick is the encore still to this day stomps on speakers it goes up against I feel like it’s one of those speakers you get and 5 years later it still will be beast of speaker will hold up well in time great speaker. As for the w-king great budget speaker for the price decent sound both are good but the encore is definitely better 😅

Ya the encore is a great speaker and definitely beats pretty much everything in its class as far as deep bass goes, and it has greater clarity, I would say wking wins in mids and sound separations also mid bass and upper bass it wins, both are great speakers at normal price of 350$ I wouldn't call it a budget bluetooth speaker but with the coupon it for sure is way more affordable ha ha not a bad battle at all but I think jbl definitely takes the overall win, now maybe wking will come out with a firmware update that makes it better who knows ha ha but for now encore still reins Supreme

@@Jagistreviews ya honestly if can’t afford one don’t sweat it man just pick up the regular one if you have or know about Costco that’s where pick up mine for 350$ which was a sale they had but there regular price is 499 the same as the regular version I don’t there will be any sale on the WiFi version no time soon ha ha i even was able to use a coupon and got it 200$ which is less than the w-king crazy but yea Costco is the only place I know at least in my area where they have it. In the meantime I want to see the tribit storm box blast next they should close to the same interesting to see the battle

JBL Encore is the bass King and the w King is a bass machine like the bb3 and the JBL party bax 1000 is the most bass heavy Bluetooth speaker i heard in my life 😅😊

710 beats 1000 in bass. 1000 is overall louder but for some reason the 710 goes deeper and growls louder when it comes to bass.

But till now there's no clear conclusion. But i somehow prefer the 710 it's size design and because of the app support everything can significantly be improve through firmware update so i endeup up with 710 and never regret 😅

Walmart was selling the encore for $129.99 this week directly from JBL refurbished excellent. I probably should've bought 2 but whatever. I still think the Stormbox Blast sounds better than the encore. The blast 2 is garbage.

I've since messed around and changed my equalizer in the app and made the wking sound even better, the encore was playing with the power cord plugged in so on 100 percent power, on battery it loses some bass and loudness

You can feel JBLs Encore bass driver magnet is more pure bass heavy and natural sounding. W king is just noise on 150 volume. JBL sounds way more high fi and high end i dont understand how some people are such fools or their ears are not trained enough in order to how to listen and precieve the sound audio and process it through their god damn mind.

Yeah in this the encore definitely sounded better, since then the wking has been firmware updated and sounds night and day better than it used to, plus custom eq it sounds amazing now, if I had my encore still I would rematch them, encore is a great great speaker but battery is trash other than that it's amazing
