There are ups and downs in one’s emotions. It is normal for everyone. You are a gentleman. There are things one can do to regulate it. What works me, for example, is tennis. I can hit really hard and be very emotional about it, moaning like Nadal or sabalenka. Vent emotions and frustrations thoroughly and outwardly, and tennis is the excuse and platform. It is somewhat socially acceptable and does not harm others. Do not keep emotion or frustration in and it may fester. Find a socially acceptable venue to express it fully. I said you are such a gentlemen. Respectability and kindness are traits that are endearing, but they incapacitate people as well. You are right that we should not be rude to our dogs , even nobody is watching, but I can be very rude towards a tennis ball. Take care my friend. It will get better.
