What's the english name for 無量壽經? And why do I often see 四十八願? What does 48 means? Is that the page/chapter number?

This sutra is called Infinite Life Sutra. In the past, there was a a king learned from Buddha King of Freedom. This Buddha has been teaching for forty-two kalpas. After listening to the Buddha's teaching, the king resolutely practicing meticulously and gave up his throne to became a monk called Dharma Treasure Bhikkhu. He also decided to establish a world of bliss call Western Pure Land. Buddha king of Freedom understanding his intentions. So he showed Dharma Treasure Bhikkhu 21,000,000,000 different buddha pure lands. Since then Dharma Treasure Buikkha used five kalpas to absorb these Buddhist pure land to improve the construction of the pure land in his mind. No matter what the benefits are in other Buddhist kingdoms, Dharmakaya Bhikkhu vows that the pure land he will build will have the same benefits. This is the origin of the forty-eight great vows of Amitabha Buddha, and through observation, we can see that each of the forty-eight great vows made by Bhikkhu begins with the assumption: If my vow is achieved…I’ll become Buddha. Otherwise, I ended up not become a Buddha. Now we know that he has become a Buddha and is called Amitabha, so his forty-eight vows were accomplished. The ability of all Buddhas is the same. The reason why Amitabha Buddha is the king of Buddhas is because of the 48 vows he made while other Buddhas did not make these 48 great vows. 🙏🙏🙏
