I don't judge Kendrick numbers too closely, because he doesn't chase mainstream perception. IF he would've sold 200k or less that would've been a flop, like the Weeknd. But 286k with barely any promotion and no physicals available until the second week. Kanye was doing stadium listen sessions for a month and only sold 25k more than Kendrick. This is a W for Kendrick. And this album is dope to me. However since he's off of TDE , I would like for Kendrick to be more active musically. And I think his next album will be more mainstream sounding to prove to people that he can make that type of sound if he wanted.
