very humble Sifu. Don't know if you guys all know Cantonese here, but at the end of this vid he was saying there needs to be transparency in this day and age... Sure he's doing things a little different but all students/disciples/brethren have their own character and interpretations. That the methods in Siu Lim Tao is actually formless when applied and combined together for application. Principles are what remains the same. Also because if someone comes up to you with a couple of pistols he can rob your whole School/Dojo (puts up his hands). So it is more of an exercise for challenging oneself and improving. He finishes saying he should be heading to a martial arts/Wing Chun meetup in Guangzhou the next week or two and hopefully compare notes and interview the Foshan style Wing Chun. He says that "we" always keep thinking Hong Kong Wing Chun is the best, but they need to challenge themselves to improve as Wing Chun practitioners and be oppen minded. Much respect. If only there were subtitles on these vids.

Sorry that I don't understand your language yet. But I'm curious, is your kung fu school a Ip man wing chun school. Thank you...I study in Wing Chun here in the u.s. and recognize some of your hand techniques, like Bong Sao and fuk sao and Taun sao...

ip man also changed the forms he learned from his sifus ... you can change the forms as much as you want as long as you keep practicing the wing chun principles and other characteristics of wing chun it will always be recognizable ... by the way many other wing chun familys have more forms than the 6 forms in yip man lineage and its still wing chun to put new ideas is always an enrichment for an art ....

I see all this debate about Siu Lim Tao. Actually, my group already has the answer after some scientific research. I know you guys must be thinking, "another scientific Wing Chun"? Well, we are really not like any Wing Chun group that you can find throughout the entire world. Our answer to the differences of Wing Chun is: the techniques had been misinterpreted and artificially expressed throughout the years. Why people still not refer to Ip Man's 8 mm film on SLT and knowingly deveate from Ip Man's form? If everyone does things differently, after a few generations, WC will be degenerated to unrecognizable! =( Martial art is a learning to do without one's own ego, changing the forms is imposing one's ego on the WC syster....somthing to think about as a WC practictiner.....
