All 6 points are still related to money although some to a lesser degree. About 13 years ago, I consider to resign. (not FIRE) for a brief period and maybe later to find another job. My wife objected this idea and also one of my previous colleague said you don't quit your job because you want to. Well, these are all wrong. I continue for another 5 months and then I got an unexpected medical condition and later became irreversible. Because of the condition, I can no longer able to get a similar job. I was forced to retired early. If I can let go earlier and decided to backoff, relax and re-group, the condition can be reversed. I reached the cliff and fall before knowing it.
I am FI, but enjoy my work so no plan to RE. My passive income is already more than what I earn. I make sure my children who have started working to invest early in their 20s, and let time and compounding to grow their nest eggs. I work in Australia.

@@nobird8888 I think most of my friends are doing better than me, so i can learn from them. I just turned 60 and has reduced working hours to 30 hours/week, having more free time, so that I can last longer in my work. If I stop work completely I may lack purpose in life.
