Try to use the Chin up bar and do the dead hang. Your body weight will pull and strengthen your back, hands. Its very good exercise.

@LetsAskAmericans infact I also trained with this method and I've achieved back muscle, strong forearms and 6 pac abdominal muscle. Don't do sit up, it's bad for the back.
