Glad to see this from Ghana. Wonderful job on what is considered one of the most reliable cars in the world. I am glad some Ghanaian like you understand and respects this beauty of a car. I have seen a couple of these vehicles go for relatively cheap in Ghana where price average about $1,100. I am considering getting on soon and will bring to your shop for a restoration like this, as most of them are not well cared for. Thanks again.

not all junk if my 2001 e220cdi didn't warn me that I have too little or too much motor oil I would never get to 375000km still runs great

@@nemaga13 When I am talking about computerized cars,I am talking about a lot of newer cars, that you basically have to have computer knowledge, in order to work on the newer, cars, not like the car you have, that it is still mechanical but with some computerized items, the cars from the 80s and back were basically mechanical, 90s,still ok, 2000 maybe the mid 1985,is when they they completely more or less becomecomputerized

Man,this is brilliant! I'm in Johannesburg and also have a 200A/C 1981 , I desperately need this level of attention on my baby,Silver Blue. Rear window rust,left side too and all clear coat has disappeared. She stood all her life in Mossel Bay , the fog,the blazing sun took its toll...

That is a great restoration job. I have the same model but 4 speed manual, these are great cars, I have owned mine since 1989 (second owner) This was my first Mercedes and although I have owned newer ones, I cannot bear to part with my w123. The 5 speed manual you have coupled with M102 motor would be a fun car to drive. Thanks for taking the time to make and share this interesting video. Greetings from New Zealand

It's a part of the family, dry garaged from new, 30.000 miles, all original, has all the paper stickers from factory, shes a time capsule. Just in the process of a sympathetic recommison after many years in hibernation. Yes, quite a responsibility!

@@bw5870, привет. Терпения ? И кайфа скажи ! 👍😎 Ежели ты про бюджет на содержание, так он у всех конский, хоть бумер, хоть лекусис и тд. Сейчас все современные авто рассчитаны максимум на год, а далее хоть трава не расти. Поэтому я тих, тих пересел с w140 го на скромный W124. И мне с ним в кайф, он прост, его налог 980 рЭ.

@@user-bd5yg5op3h недавно датчик давления масла начал глючить. Внезапно стрелка на горячую стала показывать на 1,1. Причину кстати нашел. Пришлось развальцевать его. Вообщем ща прибор на горячую показывает 2,5 - 2,8. Починил родной немецкий. Все стало гуд.
You are aware that Ghana ends at the Atlantic Ocean right? Just like in Kenya 🇰🇪 , we know to avoid classic cars from Mombasa because of the Indian Ocean, but those inland are okay.

Love this restoration. Super impressive! Thank you for sharing. I really enjoy seeing what people have done to their W123s. It motivates me to keep mine in better condition. That said, I don't know if I would ever be brave enough to tear down my W123 to the level you did. I'd be afraid it would never get back together. God bless and happy New Year from Texas.

Amazing. I had a weird one here in the states. 240D automatic but it had full leather interior (dark blue) factory alloys, ac, power windows. I loved all 52 horsepower of that fabulous car 🚙

@@123works the headlights on the vehicle looks like the ones used on those shipped to the United States. They used the round ones while the European version is a composite unit.

my late father had it in 1984 drove me in it,bought it crashed and fixed it himself,what he couldn't find on car waste got from the factory for free from friends he lived and worked in stuttgart at the time,he fixed at least ten of them rusty or crashed,once we smuggled 3kg of coffee in the dashboard over the border in yugoslavia there was no coffee in stores and import was forbidden
