Great video, I think I'll do my E350 Wagon soon now that I'm over 100k. One suggestion is to turn the nut and not the bolt at the subframe. If it's ever had an alignment, you'll spin that bolt and shear the tab on the subframe.

Can you do a video of taking calipers off and how you painted them? Also where the center jack point is in the front?
@ExoticCarDIYАй бұрын
I have some limited footage of the calipers, but not really enough for a video. Essentially just several hours of sanding with 320 grit, then 600. I did three coats of base, then installed the decals I made, and then three coats of clear. As for the jacking point, there is a 2x3 rectangle kind of dead center under the front of the car that people jack from. I've never jacked here, if the jack slips it will hit some pretty critical engine parts. Plus my cars are so low and it's so far back from the bumper that no normal floor jack can reach it. So I pretty much always just jack on the four pads underneath the rockers

hello, do you know why 355s have a mesh grill at the back and others have a painted element
@ExoticCarDIY8 ай бұрын
All 355 came with painted rear bumpers to my knowledge. When the dealers converted regular 355s to the challenge race cars, they installed the black mesh grills. They look great and also provide much needed cooling so it's a very popular upgrade and many people buy them and install them on regular cars

When you go into an alignment shop you can ask for them to set just the toe to zero. It's literally a tenth of the work of a full alignment.
