That’s the wrong engine for the sc… the 550 is a m273 5,5l with Dohc. The prefacelift 500 has the m113 sohc which is the non amg version of the supercharged engine

Man_eee the secondary cats are right before the resonator, when the car is on a lift you’ll see them right away..the video doesn’t do the sound justice lol it’s pretty loud but it’s daily drivable

@@ViperEsq With the stupid new law here in California "Loud Exhaust" I will no longer go this route and now unsure of what to do.. Do you think just doing 2nd cat delete(with custom x-pipe) and resonator delete (straight pipes) leaving stock mufflers would be "too loud" for the new law? I don't know anyone in my town with this car so I haven't heard any in person, only in YT videos

Were the deletes from the original stock exhaust or from an upgraded exhaust system? I have all the same deletes on my 2014 CLS550 (muffler delete, resonator delete, secondary cat delete & x pipe in place of resonator) & still can't get that sound at high revs. My car sounds awesome during cold starts, during acceleration (you can also hear the turbo pops during deceleration), & during low to mid revs (you can hear a growl & whistle), but I want it to sound like yours during high revs (that loud crackle sound) & it's just not there. I still have the original square factory tips on the car that are not welded to the exhaust, so I'm considering 4inch double walled quad exhaust tips (similar to yours). Think that would help?

This car is a w219 CLS 550. I have one myself. It's a NA 5.5 V8. No turbos. Turbos have different exhaust set ups. And from what I can tell since these cars come with the single tips not dual, the exhaust he has is either custom straight pipe with duals or the same year AMG exhaust.

you have to cut the bumper/diffuser but its no big deal any exhaust shop can do it no problem and make it look oem

@@ViperEsq I have a 2014 version of this car. I already have the resonator (including secondary) taken out and with straight pipes. Had it for months, love it. I'm thinking of getting muffler delete. How would you rate the drone? I know you said its not annoying in one of your comments prior, but would you say its minor? Like what speed does it tend to occur at?

Nice car man, so i noticed drone at about 2-3k rpm and then it went away its very tolerable. I actually have a e550 coupe with the biturbo v8 and I'm getting a setup similar to this in a few days, taking the muffler, resonator and secondary cats out and putting a balancing pipe where the secondary cats are so ill let you know how it sounds and ill post a video@@chris08876
