Yo bro I love your CLS + the turbos noises and I definitely want to cut the mufflers now I just got a 2014 CLS550 too but I have a warranty so idk and I noticed that there isn’t a lot of videos/content about the CLS class in general so thanks for recording and showing us your journey on the whip it also gives me a idea of what to do with mine lmao I also want to start recording and doing content on mine too your an inspiration bro 💯

Making me miss my ‘14 cls. I might have to pick one up again. Gotta ask, did you notice transmission issues in 1st-3rd gears on yours? Mine would clunk when downshifting after 6 months of hooning on it.

I have a '13 SL550 and am debating on deleting the mufflers or resonators. I had a '10 E550 Coupe that I cut the mufflers off and I loved it but it was really loud inside the cabin when getting on it. It sounded insane but was def too loud inside. I really want to do it to the SL but I don't want it too be obnoxious due to the cops in Miami cracking down on loud exhausts and even tints. For the $200 it costs to cut them off, I think I am just going to do it and if I decide its too loud, ill get some amg mufflers and cut out the resonators. Your CLS sounds incredible, thanks for posting!

The 10 e550 was a mall motor car (non-turbo) they are super loud. Turbo cars are a lilttle bit quicker. I’d say do it and your gonna love it!

Any drone at all in the cabin? I love the whole setup you did but knowing if there’s any drone heard in the cabin is a big consideration for me.

No there is no drone in the cabin because if you not flooring it then you wouldn’t really hear a big difference Also mercedes have done a amazing job on insulating the cabin. Sometimes when i drive it doesn’t even seem like i have done any exhaust work! Would highly recommend these exhaust modds it sounds like a AMG

@@Redlineracinggarage Thanks. I figured as much given all the sound deadening MB uses. I’m gonna go this route then. I’m going with a CLS63 rear diffuser and am gonna use equivalent styled AMG tips. I put a RENNtech tune and lowering module on it, as well as 20” Vossen VFS-2s, so this will go nicely with it.

its a 2.5 inch inlet with 3 inch tips it will go right over your stock mufflers or exhaust piping

Did you cut secondary cats out? How was the drone? I just bought a 14 cls 550 4 matic only 25k miles on her. Going to definitely be hacking the exhaust. I eill daily drive it and dont want it wear it gives me a headache. I may just cut out cats and mid muffler and leave rears

I kept the cats only removed 2 small resonators the x pipe resonator and the mufflers. I also added a magnaflow 2.5” X pipe

Sounds should be the same, the muffler tips don’t impact the sound its just for looks. If your looking for sound you gotta either cut the mufflers of do a resonator delete

Yes I did a resonator delete and added a magnaflow X pipe. Then did the muffler delete with the tips. Also deleted the 2 small resonators.
